“This park is beautiful! There are nice playgrounds for the kids, jogging trail, soccer fields, baseball fields, skate park, and swimming pool. There is a recreation center with classes for the community. The best part of this park is it's outdoor amphitheatre that features concerts throughout the year and hosts various festivals. It's a big focal point for community events in Palmdale.”

“This park has been a place i grew up woth. It is dedicated to my late uncle Ben (Kencho) Molina. It is a nice park but i noticed it seems to be getting smaller because of the colleges taking more space. I hope it doesnt get any smaller then it is.”

“There is a reason this place has great reviews. Everyone here is very friendly. The hike is not difficult at all. It is 1.5 miles total round trip. You are able to see and feed Zebras, Alpacas, a bull, and pet some horses. You can see Stanley the Giraffe from a distance, but our walking tour did not get up close to him. It was well worth going out to Malibu. The weather was perfect and the entire scene was picturesque. Sebastian our hiking tour guide was a really cool dude. Midway through the hike you get to sample 3 wines. Very nice pours and delicious tasting wines. I have nothing but good to say about this experience. I highly recommend.”

“A beautiful clean park with plenty of grass to play in. A large playground for the kidz to have fun at. Also this park is never crowded, so whether your going out for a picnic or for a game of catch. This is a great place to take the family. The only downside is there is no public restroom. So make sure the kiddies go, before you go....”

“It's a nice sized park with a small section for small dogs. The park is largely covered with grass, which is nice. There are also ample benches and some picnic style tables in a covered area. It's a fairly popular place but there is plenty of parking and the park can accommodate a lot of dogs/people.”

“It's within walking distance of my house so of course I appreciate it. It has lots of big open green spaces, a relatively simple playground, basketball courts as well as a couple of tennis courts. Bathrooms are mostly clean and almost all of the drinking fountains work. My youngest loves the swinging monkey bars the most.”

“Got marooned off out in Bear Canyon for a couple days, rationed off my supplies but kept my phone off till I got to this old trail. Figured I'd turn it on and wala I got satellite signal. Was able to follow the checkpoints back down to safety after a few days, this place was a lifesaver, really!”

“An Official Hiking Review: This trail offers a beautiful view and ample parking. The trailhead is located in a residential area, so make sure to be respectful of the surrounding residents. Fabulous trail and would recommend.”

“Very nice trail with a lot of different pathways. The nice thing is, you can choose the difficulty. Go straight up the hill for a strenuous, challenging hike, or neander down the gently curving path down the valley and eventually reach Kanan road, or go up the way to the reservoir. PS- this trail recently burned (November 2018) so the whole hillside is blackened. Now open for hikes and looks very nice with the greenery coming back in again.”

“Wonderful park to hike . Rocky Oak loop trail takes you around the parameter of the park and there is also a trail around the pond, which in summer is dried up. Lovely views of both trails.”

“Great park! Has soccer/ football fields, baseball fields, batting cages, two play parks, skate park and an out door gym. Lots of parking and great views!”

“Camped there last night...they literally just opened the campsite yesterday. Trail is hard to get to. Need a 4x4 or Jeep. Large rocks on the trail in addition to two parts of a rather large tree that fell on the trail. We had to do work to get by...you get the point now on what I am saying. Once we got there the place did not disappoint. Would have given a 5 except for the pesky nats...there were a lot. No problem with wind. It actually died down at night, and picked up in the morning. Still not bad. Plenty of space, shared the campground with all the PCT'rs making their trek. Will definitely head back.”

“Park is clean and well maintained. Great for kids parties, family time with the kiddos or a family reunion. They have softball fields and time of grass to play on. The girls restroom was the only downfall, not well maintained and no lighting.”

“There so many different route to go to the summit, but if u wanna a bragging rights, take Bear Canyon Trail to go up. Trailhead start inside the town by Ranger's Station. Switchback, shade, sceneries n mental toughness involves if u never been there before.....”
