“Dr. Hertz is a no-nonsense, efficient, competent doctor. She has two offices, one on the westside in Culver City, and the second location is near downtown LA adjacent to the Select Surgery Center on Avalon Blvd. My first visit was at the Culver City office. Despite a map and turn-by-turn directions finding, I got lost. It seems like most other patients had the same issue. This facility has closed all entrances from the street. Access to the office is from the parking structure shared with another medical facility which was very confusing. The office was full of patients waiting to be seen. She runs her office like a well-oiled machine. She had a note-taker on the speakerphone taking notes for her as she dictated the symptoms and medical terms. The visit lasted ten to fifteen minutes long. I had to wait thirty minutes past my appointment to be seen. She suggested two options, surgery or local injection therapy with multiple office visits. I chose surgery. After a month or so, I have my hand surgery at what appeared to be a newly renovated surgery center downtown. When I checked the location on Google maps, I got worried. The surgery center location is on the rundown, industrial street in need of sweeping by the city. But as you walk into the building, you find yourself in a very clean, sterile-looking, long hallway with a high ceiling resembling a futuristic CIA-run hospital we have seen in the movies.”

“Fast, friendly, and cheap! Very happy I came here. I came to this place right after our male pet rabbit got hurt (he got loose, ran off, and had a bad fall at some point in the night). I called *at least* 6 different animal hospitals in the area to ask if I could bring him in, but none would take him due to the fact that they did not treat rabbits ('cats and dogs only' is what I kept hearing over the phone). I finally decided to give this place a try after I heard that they did treat rabbits, as well as cats and dogs, and other pet animals. When I called, someone picked up right away and offered to see me that same day and set up an appointment for that afternoon. I was able to bring our rabbit in just a few hours after I called. I spoke directly to the doctor and he did a complete exam + x-ray within a short amount of time (I'd say I was there no more than an hour or so, max, as I got in at 1 pm and was out by 2 pm-ish). He shared his insight, explained how he examined him, and even gave us a copy of all our paperwork and x-rays as well. He was also very up-front about the costs of everything and had every part of the service printed in writing, so I knew what the total cost would be before I agreed to it. I also saw other customers coming in and out with their pets (they were busy!) and the doctor and staff seemed very friendly and sweet. I was very happy I came here and I will come back! If you're looking for a tiny little mom-and-pop-style vet to take your pet to in LA, then I'd say this is your place.”

“We've been at Parents & Children for several years now, and our boys have loved it since day one. We wanted a place with good outdoor space, and I can honestly say we've found none as big or beautiful as P&C's. The kids spend a big part of their day outside, playing, collaborating, exploring. It's such a fun and creative place - they sing, and learn, make art and come home dirty, their shoes full of sand, and really really happy. I know when I drop them off in the morning that they are going to have the best time, and will be looked after by the most loving, caring, and competent teachers and staff. Parents & Children is really a very special place. We really feel that we have found the best preschool in La Canada.”

“Like some, I was skeptical about this Carpal Aid. Well, it proved me wrong and after reading other reviews, I am a true believer!
