“Sapphire was so nice! Delicious place with great menu options for lunch or dinner! The atmosphere was awesome. And the food smelled amazing. We were allowed to bring our dog and she was offered a water bowl and some treats to help her feel comfortable, so that was kind of them! The staff was great and overall it ended up being a great place to stop in. The waffles were incredibly good and the whipped cream alone was worthy of a photo. Lunch for two was $40 plus tip. It a great place for a date.”

“We dropped in for Happy Hour and sat outside by the sidewalk. Camille, the bartender, made us a spectacular raspberry margarita!! We felt like fries so Sam, our great waiter, brought us the most amazing fries with aioli in America made by Chef Glenn! Every bite was heaven - so crispy on the outside and like soft pillows inside. It's his 'secret recipe'! They were the highlight of our trip. The prawns were good, too. It was sad that there were hardly any people dining. They need to advertise this spot more actively!”

As a chef, I wanted to grasp what was a popular dish and ordered a dish for myself that brought me back to a comfort home reminder! The fried chicken W/gravy and biscuits. It was delicious and filling. Yet I gravitated to the other plates that were brought to our table and found the Chilean sea bass to be the superior shining light of this restaurants offerings! If you’re in Laguna Beach I strongly suggest stopping here as the appetizers itself are filling enough and delicious also. My family made a reservation but didn’t get our table till 45 minutes later because of other customers staying exceedingly long but we were accommodated with a full round of drinks and an entire dessert platter on the house. “I can not be unbiased about Wahoo's. I have loved it since the very first store in Newport back in the 1980's and still make it my first stop on trips to SoCal. Amazing fish tacos, really tasty rice and black beans. High protein, low-guilt. I even track down stores in other cities like Denver, it's that good. Hands-down the best fast food in any town. The Laguna Beach store has been remodeled since I was last here a few years ago, really opening it up from feeling like you were entering a surf shop from the back door. “At the risk of revealing a best-kept secret, I am putting in a plug for one of my top faves in Laguna. This is the place the locals eat. The food is great and reasonably priced. The other reviews below do a great job of describing it and I would add that there is a free parking lot in the back if you are early/brave/lucky. It has at least a dozen spaces and despite their request for local construction workers to not park there, is usually filled with pickup trucks. The burgers are on par with your best burgers anywhere. The breakfasts are dependable and tasty. The atmosphere is old Laguna. Check egos at the door and don't forget to tip the hard-working wait-people. Remember, this is breakfast and lunch only, closing by early afternoon. Weekends, you can expect a wait. “This place has been here for a long time. I have been going here off and on since I was younger. It's a hippie taco place. There is a smoke shop right upstairs. I think sometimes the people working at taco loco are high. But it doesn't seem to affect the tacos. They always taste the same. The prices seem to go up every time we eat there. The shrimp, lobster, swordfish, and veggie tacos are the standouts. The guacamole is good on the tacos but I think the salsas are super weak. The "spicy" tastes like tapatio mixed with lemon juice. The mild is very mild like tomato sauce. It's not real Mexican tacos, it's hippie California beach tacos. Good once in a while.”
