Rodrigo's Mexican Grill

It was our first time to Rodrigo's and we really enjoyed our dinners! The waiters were very nice and attentive, the only complaint is that we waited quite awhile for our food. Also, I really liked their their thin chips salsa and thin chips! Will go again for sure, also very nice outside seating area!

The absolute best chips and salsa!! This has been the spot I have gone for Mexican food for 40 years. Formally Don Jose's. Same menu, food, quality and service. So glad there is one in Corona now. I always went to one in Artesia, California.

An excellent place to eat during these difficult times. They have the BEST accomodations for outdoor dining imaginable with their patio seating. I gave them four stars instead of five because they serve "corporate recipe" rice. It's difficult to explain what that is but it's just not rice as it's made by a mom and pop Mexican restaurant. Having lived in Mexico for a while I have always measured a restaurant by the quality of their beans and rice. Rodrigo's other dishes are great, guacamole is excellent, shrimp cocktail excellent, chips fresh and if your lucky served warm, their salsa tastes homemade. Good place to go.

I visited Rodrigo's Mexican Grill in Corona (near Norco) and had a great time. We went about 6 pm on a Friday night, and we were seated in the outside patio, which is pretty big, with about 50 other people. The patio has a wood-grill cover, so sun is substantially blocked, and it almost feels like sitting inside the restaurant. There were 6 of us, and they seated us at a larger table that easily accommodated our food. It was very noisy in that patio, and we could barely hear each other, but it was FUN! It was really lively, and very active. It's just great to visit a place like that.

The food came fast, and it was delicious, and, wow, they really served a lot for guys like me who has a huge appetite. The warm chips and tasty salsa kept coming too, all throughout our meal. The drinks we ordered were delicious too.

Honestly, when the server took our orders, I figured he would get them all wrong because it was so noisy, and I'm sure he could barely hear us. I was prepared for that, because it was simply that noisy. We told him it would be 3 separate checks too, and I figured that would cinch it that the checks would be wrong. Two of the checks had a large guacamole bowel on them, and all three had two different drinks on each check. Well, when our meals were over, we got the checks, and they were spot-on perfect!

The meal was a great success and we all had a great time at Rodrigo's Mexican Grill in Corona. They perform at 100% , even during the Covid-19 difficulties. I give them 5 stars for great food, for a great and fun environment on the patio, and for 3 perfectly detailed checks. Big tips for the server!
