“We got GREAT value out of the 7-day pass. Considering what we would have spent for the high value attractions anyway (Legoland, Sea World, Zoo, Safari Park) getting to see so many other museums in Balboa Park, the USS Midway, etc were simply bonuses. That way we didn't feel bad spending a lot of money on a single museum if we didn't like it or didn't spend much time inside. Definitely will consider for other cities.”

“This place is very casual and is at the base of the Broadway Terminal. Seating is available in the shade at the side at communal tables or tables for 4. There is some limited table service but you are also able to order at the window where you receive a buzzer and they bring your food to you when it is ready. Both options make it super convenient. We shared a sandwich that was huge and quite delicious. We were very pleased with our lunch and will certainly be back!”

“Excellent staff on board, fantastic whale naturalists on board who really know about whales & marine life, food is awesome, just love the whale watching experience!! We really enjoyed the variety of seating options & sighting areas aboard the ship. Bottom level is great for small children as it gives them closer to the water surface to see dolphins close up. Mid level offers indoor seating & 2 outdoor seating areas. Top deck all open areas for people to see from all sides of boat. The captains are really great about making sure all guests on board get to see the whales & dolphins as they move the boat around the whale. Fabulous experience!”

“We did the Flagship ferry from San Diego to Coronado, it was $5 each way. The trip was about 15 minutes. The boat ride was great! Everyone went straight to the top. The views are fantastic. You're moving away from the skyline of downtown and have a great view of the Coronado Bridge. Once you get to the other side, there's all these shops and restaurants. The bike path has bike rentals along the way for tandem bikes and multiple rider bikes. The path leads to the bottom or end of the Coronado Bridge. Even though it's fenced up about 8 feet, you can still get a decent shot over the fence or between the chain link. We're going to do the whale watching tour very soon!”

“A nice parking lot nearby Midway museum but small place and 3hr limit. Easy to get a parking by 10 am. It's free during certain holidays, e.g., Veteran's day.”

“Stopped in to have a beer at the bar. Also ordered the white clam chowder. Really good and the bartender included bread and butter. Our bartender was the best - very good service. They have an outdoor seating area that looks over the water and the Midway. I would love to come back and have dinner here.”

“This is a top notch, wonderful restaurant. It is quieter than it's sister restaurant downstairs and has wonderful harbor views. We so enjoyed the turbot and their Caesar salad was perfect, a great balance of dressing and cheese. I must admit we managed to share the carrot cake and the key lime pie (four of us); super. Best seafood. Can be pricey if you explore the wine list but otherwise good value and properly cooked food in a largely italian style.”

“Super cool experience! MUST see if you haven't participated in the military or would like to show the appreciation to the park. Very insightful as to how these men and women live and work a board this naval warship. It is truly awe inspiring and motivational to see such amazing equipment from many generations of airplanes and helicopters on the flight deck up close and personal. This was the most amazing thing I did while in San Diego and the staff all very knowledgeable and helpful was a true delight to meet the men and women that served on this icon. Truly amazing I can NOT say this enough A++++++++ for $23.00 a true deal to spend a afternoon.”

“At the end of the pier there are tables and chairs for your convenience. I always spend a relaxing time hear. If you're walking along the bay in the Gaslamp, downtown or Little Italy area, I recommend that you check it out. To me it's a bonus when there are aircraft carriers docked at North Island, there's a perfect view of these icons from the end of the pier.”
