“I had a rolled taco it was great!! I loved the crunch to perfection and had a great taste to it even though it was just a plain rolled taco with nothing on it. I also had one grilled chicken taco. The chicken was nice large well grilled chunks of hearty meat and was exploding with flavor. The place is clean staff good and salsa bar mediocre. Parking is ample but always busy.”

“When Pigs Fly (not to be confused with the Flying Pig , also in Vista) is housed in a Chevron gas station on the corner of Foothill and E. Vista Way. There is parking in front and some seating inside. We had delicious pulled pork and brisket for our Father's Day celebration. Both dishes were juicy and perfectly cooked. This is award winning BBQ (truly). The staff was patient and friendly. Note: There is also a new restaurant in downtown Vista.”

Egg rolls...husbands dinner, broccoli beef... fried rice.... finally mine, shrimp and walnuts. I personally didn't like that part. They said they were getting fresh broccoli. “This is a place you might drive in by without seeing it. That would be a shame because it has excellent food. I had a combination of chili rellano and cheese enchilada. Yum. Beans freshly made. Rice nice and fluffy. The traditional chili rellano (not just chili wrapped in egg). Everything good. A steady stream of people. Friendly cashier. There seems to be a limited number of drinks (I do love my fresh brewed iced tea) and salsa. Very underwhelmed with the salsas. I do love fresh salsas. These were store bought. Just okay. So food is great. Enjoy it!”

“Visit took place during lunch and the burger was excellent. The service was similar to a five guys restaurant, but that was my expectation for a great burger place ;). This place is just mom and pop at its best. Staff was super friendly the food came out timely manner. You can not go wrong with the burgers. Went there with two friends. Great burgers for friends. “Been coming here for years. I am always greeted by someone immediately when I come in the door. Staff is always helpful and has quick customer service. Food is always hot, fresh, cooked perfectly and served properly being consistent with quality time after time. The home made baklava is the best I've had in the area. If you're short on time, I recommend you call ahead, because they don't make the food until you order it, so it's going to be extra fresh, but you are going to wait a little bit longer for that quality. Totally worth it. My only criticism is the outdated menus and hanging menu decor. They really need to be updated to a more professional and modern theme. Something to match the restaurant with some high quality pictures showcasing the delicious food available.”

“Went here on a Friday night. They are open to a decent hour. I got the 2 slice and soda combo. The pizza was great! Good New York style pies. The slices were so good that I grabbed two more to go for the next day. The service was also pretty good. I was there towards the end of the night, so there wasn't much of a crowd.”
