“Like many people, I bought a gym membership because I wanted to lose some weight and get in better shape. I used the gym a few times but then stopped going because I was bored and didn’t really know what to do and wasn’t seeing any results. After a few months of paying for a membership that I wasn’t using, a friend turned me on to Proactive Evolution. I was skeptical at first because even though I wasn’t working out, I figured I could do it on my own, so I tried going back to the gym. I like that quote that says insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results. Well, after another two months of paying for a membership that I wasn’t using, I finally gave Proactive Evolution a call. The owner instantly made me feel at ease. He answered all my questions about personal training, nutrition, and fitness without ever making me feel like I was asking a stupid question (and looking back at how much I didn’t know, I’m sure I asked quite a few). Now, six months later the experience just keeps getting better. The workouts are challenging, but the way they are structured, I get to choose how hard to push myself. Some days, I feel like going all in, and some days I allow myself to slack off a little. Still, since I like to challenge myself, I always go away feeling like I got the best workout possible. There’s always lots of High-Fives, smiles, encouragement and at the end of the hour some pretty sweaty clothes. Thanks to the positive vibe and the great training, I’ve achieved more than I ever thought possible. The best compliment I can give for all that motivation and expert training came when I took off my sweatshirt as I was sitting down to dinner with a friend who I hadn’t seen me in several months. “My wife and I had this amazing experience with Bring Back the Village's Gina Janc LMFT, PPNE and Becky Gonzalez MT, PPNE, Birth Doula. Their Parent Ceremony was simply a gift. It's hard to put into words what their work will do for us as a couple and parents-to-be. This isn't something MEN typically talk about - but as a call to all men out there, you aspiring dads, let's connect and talk more. This ceremony included calling in the power of our ancestors. This was amazing because my wife and I come from such different backgrounds both of which we know we will lean on in raising our kiddo. There were powerful visualizations that I felt we NEVER would have done that guided us through things we would love to release - parenting traits we do not want to carry into our time as parents. And things about us we want to enhance in parenting. Probably the most significant experience of the ceremony was not one thing..... it was in the details. These two overdelivered on the entire ceremony. From the venue, to the layout of the room, to the many healing processes, and the FOOD at the end. EVERY detail was laid out to perfection by these to wonders of human beings. I should add that as a man, I felt totally safe in what could seems very foreign of an environment. We are grateful.
