A great half pound steer Burger with their one and only Boll Weevil sauce makes for a really great burger experience. I've been eating their burgers since 1982 and still can't get enough. The prices are a little on the higher side, but you're paying for the location (Rancho Santa Fe) and quality of food. Outdoor seating is great, especially when the sun is shining. The inside feels like a home dining room / family room, decorated accordingly. Order at the counter. Seat yourself. Sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts are all fantastic. Their Banana Cream Pie or Apple Pie à la Mode (pie served with ice cream) is out of this world. Their whipped cream is homemade, fluffy, and light, as it should be. I highly recommend.”

“Great food, drinks and service. Also great outdoor patio. The staff and ownership are great as well. I recently had a discrepancy with my bill where I thought I overpaid. I contacted them several days later and a very friendly staff member was able mockup my order to give an idea if there were any errors on their end. She then reviewed it with the owner/manager who then personally contacted me to confirm the charges. All the charges were valid but I definitely appreciated the follow up. I highly recommend this place. The food is delicious, great beer selection and awesome service.”

“Heard from so many to go and try the chicken tortilla soup here. So we did. Didn't realize it is basically a fast food place so that was disappointing but no biggie. The soup was really good but San Marcos brewery has equal or better. Lourdes gives you the soup in a container with a tiny spoon. The tortilla was good. We get they don't want to have dishes and it's fast food but a bowl would have been much nicer. San Marcos brewery has more chicken and fresh goodies in theirs. We might be back to try something different but only if driving thru San Elijo.”

The decor was fun and modern, and the whole restaurant had a good vibe. The food was good, and the service wasn't bad. Everyone was friendly, just not super attentive. The light show was super fun, and an added bonus!”

“I haven't been there for a long time. I was pleasantly surprised It's very clean and Martin the bartender/server was knowledgeable and friendly. I had the Sunday special which is fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and broccoli. It was good. A person at my table was happy with the fish and chips. The other person at my table had the burger and fries. Got a definite thumbs up on that. They have a special every night except for Friday when they have music. The prices are good. My chicken dinner was only $12.99. On Saturday they have prime rib for $13.99. You can sit inside or outside and watch the golfers. There are fire pits out there so I definitely want to give that a try. They also have breakfast all day. Nice place to bring visitors or just go to a pleasant, quiet place to dine. Give it a try.”
