“Montiel Dog Park- Accessibility: first of all I like this park because they have a Porta potty that is a large one, big enough for wheelchairs, and it has a hand rail next to the toilet for you to grab onto if you need. Many dog parks don't have large bathrooms like this so it was great! It also has handicap parking (only two spots though), flat ground to get up to the park and dog park, and there is some paved ground right when you get inside the dog park gates, with two cement tables with built-in cement chairs connected. Likes: as mentioned above, I love the accessibility of this dog park and I do love that there are trees with shade for dogs and owners to rest under. Experience and dislikes: I came here at 7PM on a regular Tuesday and the parking lot (it is a small lot) was almost completely full. There were some cars parked on the side of the road outside the parking lot also. The park had LOTS of people and even more dogs. I did not like that there were so many people without masks on, sitting on the tables close to each other so I wore a mask in here. I also did not like how this dog park has no separation between different size dogs...big dogs and small dogs are all in this one park together and there were many times today where bigger dogs were going after smaller ones in an aggressive mannor. Actually one time today, a large dog was attacking a slightly smaller dog and a woman had to run over and yell at plus hit the big dog with her hand to get off the slightly smaller dog. It was a bit unnerving so I left after that with my small dog.”

“I’ve always seen many of their comical posts on Instagram, so I decided to head down to Real Surf Shop in Oceanside to what it’s all about. Located off the main road 101, Real Surf is an Oceanside shop that caters to all of your surfing needs. It’s where you can rent your board, wetsuit, wax; the works and hit the water (which is just a couple of blocks down the road). I don’t surf, but I could see that their board inventory was extensive and their customer service was knowledgeable and superfriendly. But the apple of my eye was definitely their clothing line!! Real Surf Shop has the BEST locally-themed clothing inventory in the city. I’m not talking about generic, tourist-styled designs with “Oceanside” on them. I’m talking about some very witty, comical logos and designs that are indicative & representative of life in Oceanside. If you’re an Osider or city local, you NEED to get one of their shirts, tanks, hoodies or hats. Some Logos Include: “Keep Oside Real” “Localization Not Gentrification” and “Oside Takes Care of its Own” All of these should resonate with an Osider. Even more importantly, the staff is down-to-earth and truly care about their community. They give back to and are representative to the spirit of the Oceanside Community Unity. “We've been buying exclusively from IB Pet and San Diego Pet Food Delivery for nearly three years now! First off, it feels like family. Russ, Lori and all their staff not only know us and our dogs, but they also know their favorite treats, that one of them is allergic to chicken, that one of them has severe flea reactions, etc. Try finding that someplace else. Second, the convenience of delivery is unbeatable. They're great about checking in when it's close to filling up again, and flexible enough to drop it off at my home or office. I love taking the kids to the store, but being able to save on the drive is tough to beat. Great people, great store, and great service. Highly recommended!”

“I found a minivan on Craigslist sold by Arteen. They sell used cars so I had to do my homework. I found one negative review about them amongst a few positives. I had the reviews complaint in mind when I decided to check out the van. After meeting Arteen and Ben, I found that they were both friendly and honest and opposite of their negative description in one bad review. There were about a dozen cars on the lot. I checked out a few and found that there were no ridiculous markups or half price sale gimmicks. I was in the market for a used mini-van and end up buying from them. The price was good (although I haggled it a little). My wife joined me to pickup the car a couple of days later and they even offered dinner. After a few days driving the mini van around, it's a solid vehicle. I'm glad we bought the minivan. If you're in the market for a affordable daily work commute vehicle or a family ride, check them out.”

“We just completed a kitchen remodel by the company. 5+ stars for Jan (the owner). She was a big help on material selections, cabinet and countertop design. Very responsive to emails and phone calls. 4 stars for the cabinet and countertop installers. The work itself is excellent. However, the work completion schedule is less than ideal. The cabinet installer only worked on this project 4-5 hours a day. The granite countertop installer only worked on weekends for this project. I highly recommend Jan.”
