I took a course with Dennis a few years ago when I wanted to branch out from stage acting to on camera work. I appreciated that from the start he told it like it is in this business. Taking these classes weren’t going to suddenly transform you into a movie star.
But he did equip his students with the skills needed to be prepared for auditions, how to audition, what to wear, and what casting agents are looking for when you’re in the room. Everyone got a chance to work and observe others (which is immensely helpful) each class and all at an affordable price. For me, it was worth every penny.
My daughter desperately wanted to take acting lessons. We found Just For Actors and it was within our budget, we thought we'd give it a try. My daughter loves it, and they're doing a group project filming soon. She has more confidence and is learning not only how to "act" but how to speak in public and what to look out for in this business. As a mom who is weary of "acting classes" this is the perfect way to start. Thank you!
I can tell you that the drive for many of us is long but well worth it! Dennis is terrific. I have 2 children who have been in acting classes at Just for Actors for several years. My daughter was apparently outstanding on her first national casting call and was referred She starred in that film and they commented on her being so very talented. My son was cast in a role as well and did great too. They knew what to do.
Thank you Dennis.My kids love your class and have gone onto to use these skills not only in acting but other areas. The skills of auditioning and acting on film transfer to school, work, personal and hobby. Dennis has been a great teacher and I value his experience and integrity. His adult classes are great and I have met many actors who have been with him for many years. I like that he is not that he is not someone selling you on some bogus dream but a teacher who wants you to learn and to create. Creating a scene/character to film rather than just some scripted lines.
