“Love this gym, have been coming here all summer and it’s a great place to work up a good sweat and feel comfortable in your own skin. The only problems I’ve ever encountered was that they close at a different time on Friday and a different time Saturday and Sunday (which is way early!) but I think the amazing staff compensates for how early they close on the weekend. Everyone is so kind and I will miss coming here (since I’m moving). Thanks Cabrillo Fitness!”

“Brand-spankin' fresh out the box new renovations make this a perfectly glorious pool in which to swim. The Hardware: New resurfacing of their outdoor 50 meter pool Crystal clear waters of perfect temperature Deep gutters and sturdy lane ropes (properly tightened) to help decrease the wake Standard, but clean locker-room The Fluff: Spectacular setting next to UCSC's East field, with exceptional vistas over town and out to the ocean. You can go for a good workout, than lay on the grass, watching the clouds make Slug mascot shapes as they roll back over the ocean. The Logistics: If you aren't a student, you can swim here by way of joining their excellent Masters team or (according to the website) by purchasing a "Wellness Pass." I know that gastropods like water, so perhaps it's no surprise that the UCSC Banana Slugs made this the crown jewel of their sports facilities. I'd gladly swim here every day if I lived down here. (Don't worry, no actual slugs in the pool!)”

“I have been a member of this club for 4 years.The club is decent. They have enough number of equipment, staff are friendly. They have yoga, Pilates, cycling, kickboxing and other classes. Their pool is good size. The highlight of the club, in my opinion, is the swimming instructor Pam. I started learning swimming as an adult and hired some instructors before her, none of them patient enough to teach the swimming to an adult. Pam was amazing, though. She helped me patiently step by step to learn how to swim. She encouraged me to start with 8 laps and increase gradually. Now I can do 20 laps. I have also witnessed her teaching the middle school and high school kids. She is not only a wonderful instructor but also she is friends with most of them! Whenever she is around she helps the people to find and share swimming lines. When she is there we feel safe because she can act as a lifeguard, too. I recommend you to join this club especially if you are looking for a superb teaching instructor for your child or yourself!”

“I've been going to Ease Mountain since its inception, and it has grown like crazy--with good reason. Juko Holiday, the owner, has created an inclusive, welcoming community. Juko is definitely an old soul who inspires her students to bring their best to the mat. You will leave Ease Mountain feeling lighter and happier. Highly recommended. By the way, the apricot-colored rose is from the parking area, which is usually filled with beautiful flowers.”
