“Very large circular walking path, no bike riding or skateboarding permitted. Dogs required to be on a leash, however, a lot of people do not obey this rule, so it is always wise to be on your guard for a stray animal. There is phone number posted on the rules should you need to contact the Park Ranger. There is a large play area for children. Lots of trees and grass. A very peaceful place to take you walk, .”

Simi Hills Neighborhood Park & Fishing Pond

Address: Simi Valley, CA 93063, USA

Park

“The park is mainly for golfers. But a tinny corner to the left side of the entrance is open to anyone. This little corner has a fish, duck pond. Next to the pond, you will see benches and a few picnic tables. You won't find any B.B.Q grills or restrooms. So this is not a place were you want to stay for over an hout. A few people do catch fish, but not sure if I would want to fish here. After rain water is dropped in the pond from a wide metal pipe, the water just sits there. perfect for mosquitoes to nest in”

Sage Ranch Park

Address: 1 Black Canyon Rd, Simi Valley, CA 93063, USA

Park

“Open Sunrise to Sunset. I have been hiking here for the last 20y. Great to go back today and see the grass already 6 inches tall and some of the flowering plants starting to grow as well. All damp after the recent rains, but the trail is dry and easy to walk upon. The loop took about 80 min walking slowly. Groves of oak trees, fields of shrubs, old citrus and avocado orchard remnants, hay rake and disk harrow to start with, then through a smooth trail with rock formations on both sides. Lots of short side trails to explore. Then the detour which takes you through the center of the park to the campground and then back to the upper parking lot. Deer tracks throughout and hawks in the sky. The lower parking lot is free and never full, the upper lot costs $5. Both have a toilet. The campground also has a toilet. Lots of picnic tables scatter around at the start of the loop and at the campground. I have never seen anyone camping.”

Rocky Peak Trailhead

Address: Rocky Peak Rd, Simi Valley, CA 93063, USA

Park

“A beautiful scenic hiking trail. It was my fifty year old mother's first time hiking, and she was completely fine. She had such a great time that we're going back only a week later. If you're a beginner, you should have no problem if you know how to walk. The trail isn't too steep like Griffith Park's trail. I do recommend though to wear shoes with a good grip because you might just skid on the gravel going downwards, if you're not paying attention to your foot movement. Also, my mother probably wouldn't have had as good of a time if she didn't have her hiking sticks. Id recommend older folks to get some.”
