“I love Peet’s coffee, and I love Piedmont Avenue at 41st. Very artsy section of Oakland with a Bohemian flare to it. Lots of interesting shops to peruse and fascinating people to meet! Highly recommended! Enjoy!”

“In a small town like Fresno, there are an abundance of noodle shops. I recently visited ngo cafe the second time around and was amazed at the new renovation, looks like a swanky modern noodle shop like the ones I see in San Jose and Los Angeles. It looks a bit out of place in McKinley’s Asian market but maybe this is a start of new beginnings when it comes to making this part of Fresno more inviting and will drive more customers there. I had the bun rieu soup, the broth was a little thin and had a more porky flavor but overall it was good, especially for being one of the only restaurants here that offer this type of noodle bowl. They also recently added a hot pot menu, which I have yet to try. What I like most about this place are the Vietnamese dessert drinks.”

“Had a bad experience with another company, and this service is a complete turn around! I have a 3700 sq ft home and the previous company I had would take at the very most only 10 minutes to spay the whole house and the pests never went away. I'm so glad I switched over to them because they are much more thorough and friendly!”

“My favorite local coffee house. The staff are so friendly and all their coffees are delicious. I've ordered their large portable containers for office functions, and the entire office fell in love with their daily brew. Anytime there's a potluck, that's what I've been asked to bring. My favorite is the Mocha Mexicano. I ended up buying their bags of coffees as Christmas gifts for my sister in NYC, and turns out, it's my brother's favorite spot near his work, up in Oakland! Thank goodness they're just down the street from me, but I'd make the drive (not to Oakland, of course) for this special treat!”

“This place is sometimes great. It's either a hit or miss on food/ coffee, unless you want straight black coffee. When there is a problem with the order it has always been a communicate issue. I guess it just depends on who takes your order.”

“Super friendly staff. Very helpful in helping to choose what to order. I ordered a chicken wrap and it was fresh and delicious. The white chocolate mocha was also amazing.”

“The Writer’s Block has added something wonderful to this city - for a place that likes to read and drink coffee as much as Anchorage does, it was a crime that up until last year we had no independent bookstore/cafe in town. Don’t get me wrong, I love Title Wave (and its proximity to Middle Way & Kaladi!). But as delightful as a secondhand bookseller near quality restaurants is, it’s not quite the same as a quirky independent establishment like this one, that is equal parts bookstore, bistro, and event space. The Block is awesome. The owners are often here, and almost always present at the plentiful (and awesome) events they host. You’ll encounter friendly regulars too, as well as folks on dates and others having meetings and others sitting solo with a notebook or a computer. The atmosphere could not be more cozy, inviting, and inclusive. And the food and drinks are outstanding. Quality local brews of both the coffee and the beer variety are always on offer, as are teas and creative cocktails - the Block mojito is simply perfect on a sunny summer night. To warm you up for those cooler times, the menu is full of hearty comfort food from around the world, especially Jewish and Latin American classics (drawing on some of the owners’ heritage). Basically, the Block as something for every season and every eater, and it’s all high-quality so you can’t go wrong!! The humans who established Writers Block are owed a debt of gratitude by Anchoragites. Thank you, Block, for shining a light on great books and using your space to promote the arts and marginalized voices, and thanks for the delicious libations and noshes as well!”

“We had a major gas leak at our house and SDG&E shut it off. We hired a so-called company that were experts in finding leaks. After paying them a lot of money, they couldn’t find the leak, and walked away, charging us full price. Told us they did not guarantee to the job. We needed to get someone out fast and Ace Rooter was highly recommended by a few different people. Manny came out, and worked hard to not only find the leak, walk us through the process of getting the ID number with the County to get someone out for an inspection. He was great and didn’t charge an arm and a leg. Ace Rooter is my go-to for every job from now on.”

“You can get good coffee here with good price. Compare to Starbucks and other brands, it’s about half price here of an Americano. And there are many kind of snacks and bread. The store is the best choice for those who wants a budget price.”

“It’s a fast food restaurant, and the service is fast and the food part has improved a lot since they started using fresh patties. Also they serve free meals to healthcare workers. I salute all the hard working / friendly staffs at this McDonald’s. Thank you for putting yourselves in harms way during the pandemic for the customers. Appreciate it.”

“They would get 5 stars if they had more of the bagels we wanted and fresher light roast. I had the dark roast which was fresher and hot. Also, they were out of any jam and this was in the morning. What did they expect to do the rest of the day or the next. Send someone to the market if needed.”

“Being that this spot is down the street from my place, with healthier alternative options than your regular breakfast, I decided to give this place a shot. It's building is situated by medical office buildings so very convenient for those nearby. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I got the shrimp omelette and unlike other places where I would leave feeling bloated and disgusting with myself, I left here feeling satisfied and healthy. I ate everything on my plate including the toast and the two pieces of fruit. Pleasing and satisfying, I will definitely come back. I ordered a iced vanilla latte as well, however it wasn't sweet enough for me. I added some sugar which I usually don't because I'm used to lattes being made to my liking of sweetness as they usually are. I couldn't finish it so I would actually have to go somewhere else for my coffee or give their hot coffee a shot and add creamer/sweetener myself. Cute spot definitely worth trying!”

“I have been wanting to try this Noah's Bagels ever since it opened. This morning I finally got that opportunity and I was not disappointed. I had their Classic Bacon Cheddar Egg Sandwich on a Plain Bagel ( you can choose any bagel you prefer), and an Orange juice. It was very delicious. This Noah's is very popular. It was quite busy when I went on a Sunday morning. There is sufficient seating inside, but I chose to enjoy my breakfast at their outside seating area. If you have an opportunity, treat yourself to a delicious bagel and cream cheese spread. They have many different types of bagels and spreads.”

“Place is tiny but has everything you need for a decent breakfast. Even late in the morning (I got here at 9:30am) this place was packed. I had their Farmhouse on Garlic bagel with 2 eggs and hot coffee (options to choose) and all for under $10 and the portion was actually enough to share. In side there are only place for 6 people to sit and eat but there are tables and chairs outside (patio seating). Highly recommended if you are in the area and haven't tried it.”

“It was wet and rainy out and a little blustery but it was nice and warm inside and there are plenty open tables when we got there. Isabella was practicing for a Christmas ballet show and this was the closest location to the dance studio. The free Internet and the ample display of food and pastries made the wait go by quickly. For the next Christmas show we would drive over here instead of walking as there is plenty of parking in the lot behind the store.”

“Super friendly baristas here. I remember a particularly funny interaction with a gal who recommended the bagel bites to me. They were seriously delicious. Very down to earth people. Sometimes there are homeless people in this area, but they're mostly harmless. Love the small business vibe around here!”

“Hip and cute, the Revue is one of Fresno’s coffee shops to-go to. It makes a great place to meet with friends, or catch up on work. They have free WiFi for customers and multiple electrical outlets to charge phones, tablets or laptops. There aren’t too many tables inside, and it can get busy, so you may not find a table to sit at. There are multiple coffee selections to choose from. I got the Mocha and it was served to me with whip cream in a Revue mug. I loved the presentation and with a little bit of sweetener, my mocha was perfect. I also got an Almond Croissant and it was delicious! Although a little pricey, it was the perfect complement to my Mocha. The overall atmosphere of the Revue is relaxed and friendly. The music isn’t overly loud, which makes it a good environment to work. I definitely recommend you check out the Revue, and try out some of their delicious coffee.”
