“I ABSOLUTELY LOVE REFLECTIONS CHURCH SERVICES THERE....If you haven't attended you should, its held there in recreation building. Pastor Don is AWESOME!! They are truly caring and quaint. ???? Quaint as in personable, not a huge church yet but small and everyone is caring and nonjudgemental. A church you can be yourself and enjoy sharing faith together. God bless and hope to see you.”

“This is an excellent part that never fails to attract the right crowd or family. It is always clean and well maintained. I yet have to witness anything other than smiles at this park. I highly recommend for your family and/or kids. Another thing I can add is that crime and violence is at the very minimal here meaning that I have not once noticed anything inappropriate at this park.”

“The campground is beautiful and clean we stayed 088. It was by the bathroom which was convenient and it was clean. They clean it everyday. The trash cans were close by. It has bear proof lock boxes at every campsite. Dog friendly. The staff was very nice and helpful. One staff member in particular stood out the most his name is Gordon. He is very helpful & kind.”

“Free shower! This is the first time I've been to a campground with unlimited free hot shower. The nature trails around the camp are worth hiking to. You can finish all of them in one morning. Of course, the biggest draw when camping here is Lake Arrowhead which is 3 miles away.”

“Great place for a day trip or a few days of camping. Decent public restrooms. Warm pay showers! I love the sound of the fog horn! It works as a lullaby in concert with the crashing waves! Also has ADA overnight and day spots!”

“Beautiful soft sandy beach with a rock jetty blocking larger waves. This beach is very safe if you have young children that like to play by the shore. It is a regional Park so you have to purchase a day pass to enter. Dogs on leash are welcome here. Clean, plumbed bathrooms are at each parking area and their are also several picnic benches, BBQ pits and outdoor showers for hosing off the sand at the end of the day. This is a great beach for a fun family day.”

“Beautiful little spot about 3.5 miles from the Little Yosemite trail head. The first two miles along the fire road are easy, but the last 1.5 miles climb pretty aggressively, so be ready for a workout. This is one of several backpacking camps clustered along the Ohlone Wilderness trail before it starts making its climb to Rose Peak and, ultimately, Del Valle in Livermore. The westward views are beautiful and there is water (needs to be boiled or purified) and an outhouse nearby. We had a great time!”

“Gorgeous views, close to water (needs to be treated) and the toilet. There is room for four single-person tents. There's a picnic table and a cook table (brilliant!). The only downside to this site is that it's directly underneath a major flight path. You'll hear planes every few minutes until midnight and then again starting around 5:30am. Bring ear plugs!”

“I'm so happy to see that this place reopened! This is my FAVORITE RV park and SD, by far!! It will be great to see what's new. I'm so sorry, though, that they got rid of the slide swings. Those were such a relaxing place to go relax and visit.”

“This place is a lot of fun for the whole family. There is so much to do. Bring all the bikes and camping toys or even rent them if you don't have your own. They have a pool and dog park. Bring a basketball for the nice basketball quart. And much more......”

“We love KOA storage! Waited on the list for years to get in and we’re so happy we have our spot. Clean and safe, dump station and the option to have your RV set up for you or be cleaned in the park nearby. Love it!”

“This was is one of our favorite RV parks we have found. The grounds are kept up and the staff is extremely friendly. Great view of the Bay on one side and access to a beach area on the other. The location is perfect and close to all San Diego attractions and 20 minutes from La Jolla. We will be returning this summer for sure!”

“Very large park with many sites great to in the dirt. Awesome for kids of all ages. Lots of entertainment. Spaces are very close. Some dog owners are not cleaning up poop and neither are the staff even though they charge you extra for pets ???? Great beach access ???? Great biking access to paths”

“Alder Camp is less than two miles from the coast. You need a reservation and spots are first come first served. Many use Alder as an final stop on the Skyline-to-the-Sea Trail, but you can also park in a lot near the coast and hike/bike in from Hwy 1. (You might have to open and close the gate at Hwy 1 to access the parking lot.) Several of the spots are very close together and not very private. Fires are not allowed. There is no drinking water available. There are trash cans and a pit toilet. There are no tables. Bear boxes are available. See my panorama accompanying this Google Maps listing to get a feel. The creek runs along the campground and is easily accessible. There’s a clearing between several sites where stargazing is very possible on clear nights. Sites close to the pit toilet might have to deal with that smell. At least during dry weather, the ground is very dusty. In some places it’s so deep that it’s almost like you’re at the beach. This was perhaps the most significant downside to this campground. Note that Twin Redwoods campground is extremely close to Alder. Just a few minutes walk. Before leaving Alder I looked at Twin Redwoods and it seemed superior in terms of campsite spacing and privacy.”
