“Great place for a weekend getaway. The campsites were good size and most of them are relatively private. The bathrooms were always clean. Just bring your own soap and towels, they only stock toilet paper. And stay on the maintained trails because the brush is thick with poison oak. I was a little worried at first because I'm highly allergic to poison oak but I had no issues. Just stay on the paths. I would also definitely recommend taking the short 1 mile hike to Cable Car Beach. It's a beautiful hike to a nice place to chill in the river. Pack a picnic and enjoy the day there. (Just remember there are no dogs allowed in the river and no alcohol either)”

“I and my family have been coming to this campground for over 10 years, with RV's and/ or tent camping. We have generally always found the staff to be friendly, and the sites and grounds well kept. Pricing is reasonable, and the area is stunningly beautiful with easy quick access to the forest, river, trains, beach, etc. So the bathrooms are older, but they are clean and functional. Safe area for kids to ride bikes and go on hikes, plus they have a separate building next to the pool with ping pong, a pool table, and a few video games for the kids. We have enjoyed this spot with 3 generations of our family and will continue to come back.”

“First time to Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort... and DEFINITELY will not be the last! What a FANTASTIC first time experience. First off, the owners and all staff were SUPER friendly, always willing to answer my MANY questions about the resort, surrounding restaurants or basic RV needs. The paved roads that all interconnect made it ideal for our son to ride his bike and meet many other kids throughout the park. This is a GREAT family place to camp. We camped for two days after Christmas (it was REAL COLD) and found the convenience of staff delivering a fire pit and wood bundles (purchased for a small fee) was awesome! I cannot express how cool this place was and the staff was beyond helpful and nice! The bathrooms are nice and clean and you can tell they’re being kept up and even being renovated. Most sites are a good size and each site has sewer and electric hook ups. WiFi worked great as well. Summer will be a REALLY nice time to visit. We can’t wait!! See you soon SC Redwoods RV resort!”

“This is an inviting, quiet park with an excellent staff. The landscaping throughout the park is beautiful. There is a large grassy park area in the middle. They have pull through and back in FHU sites with plenty of room to fit our 45' fifth wheel, full size truck and our commuter car. We had a great experience and we will be staying here if we are ever in the area again.”

“We really enjoyed out stay!!!! We arrived late Thursday evening. Herb made it easy for us to gt to our room. We decided to stay this property because it was recommended by the bride and groom. The place is clean and quaint. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Lynette. Herb made breakfast Monday AM. Everything is made fresh with tender loving care. For our last night we dined in the restaurant. AWESOME homemade German food. Ingrid told us the recipe is her mother's recipe. Herb's and Ingrid's daughter is their Chef. Really enjoyed the goulash. Haven't had good goulash since the Brau Haus here in Chicago closed. Apple strudel was also AMAZING! Will go back to Monte Rio just to see Herb, Ingrid and Lynette and simply for the goulash.”

“Welcome home folks. Great hosts, hot tub, stuff to do there, wineries nearby. Oh and did I mention the PIZZA OVEN. If you like fire and pizza and cooking, this is the place to go. Get some dough from the local pizza shop and some ingredients from the store and whip up the best pizza you ever had. We used corn meal to stop it sticking. If I had to give criticism, it would be that there ought to be more bathrooms and it would be nice if there was a walking exit.”

“I have stayed here twice and I highly recommend it. The hotel has a historic and classy feel to it. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet and have excellent water pressure. The Continental breakfast is excellent. My only complaint is that they use paper plates and plastic ware, which feels out of place for such historic surroundings.”

At first I was thinking about calling it a perfect wine country retreat but you are nestled up in a valley and it's truly a sanctuary. My wife and I enjoyed a light breakfast on the back porch every morning utilizing the full kitchen with an assortment of coffee and tea available. You are nestled between the city of Kenwood and Santa Rosa making it ideal for touring all the different regions of Sonoma and the Russian River valley. we were here for a wedding on the property and it was truly magical I highly recommend it and I know my wife and I will be going back again.”

Everyone including Pearl, Daniel, Francisco and of course Micheal who helped me replace a broken runner on my boat trailer Sunday!! Couldn't have done it without you man!! “Staff was very welcoming when we arrived at this motel. The rooms are small, clean and everything is in working order with fair prices for the area. In room coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, iron and board, the bed has a memory form mattress and it was comfortable. There is plenty of parking and is right next to a Mexican restaurant. If you prefer something else there is more options in town.”
