“We loved it. This is a very rustic cabin that sits amid a small cluster of vacation cabins just a stone's throw from the California Hot Springs Resort where you can soak in the hot water for very reasonable admission price. The cabin has a small full kitchen, LR, dining area, one bath, and two bedrooms one of which is bunk beds. Nice deck out back. The nearby Resort serves breakfast and lunch but closes in early afternoon, and other nearby restaurants are not to be had, so bring groceries. It 's about two notches up from camping, basically. Very beautiful area. A deep gorge and musical stream bed right out back, crystal clear dark skies at night, no cell service or internet, a closet full of good old board games, and convenient to the giant sequoias about 15 miles up the mountain. Chuck leaves very detailed and explicit instructions everywhere which I suppose puts some people off, but he's just trying to watch out for his place and it cant be easy or economical for him to get up there and fix things all the time. My 20-something sons were aghast when we first arrived but ended up enjoying it immensely. It reminded my wife and I of rustic family vacation rentals in the 60's.”

“We stayed at the Snug Harbor for our anniversary and it was amazing. Not only was the hotel centrally located but the staff was super friendly. We had a great breakfast, which is included; (granola, fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice and freshly baked blueberry bread) delivered to our room. We had forgot to bring beach towels and we were able to check some out. The room was spacious, clean, cool with 3 windows. It even had a cute little table over looking the street below with 2 comfy chairs where we sat and had our breakfast. We had a wonderful stay! Thank you for making our weekend that much more special!”

“Camp sites only. Didn't like that had to be out by noon. Only ones building within camp grounds with restroom/ showers. Only 2 of 3 restroom stalls worked. Charge $45 per site if you want to stay till 3 pm was not worth it to me. Other than that the campsites were clean and we did have a good time.”

“Found the hotel by happenstance - stopped for a lunch at Layla and fell in love with the property. We were staying at another hotel but promptly checked out and checked in at MacArthur Place instead! The property was incredibly beautiful with plenty of winding garden paths between buildings, lots of places to sit and enjoy the scenery with swings and fire pits. The room was similarly beautiful and well decorated. Everything in the hotel feels very deliberate and thoughtful, with a perfect mix of luxury and comfort. Service was exceptional. Hands down one of our favorite parts about the visit here, will definitely come back!”

“I have lived here for just over one year. Nice quiet neighbors and very peaceful. I want to mention how awesome the management team is , and how they go above and beyond to help. I just moved from my RV to a manufactured home you see in the picture. It has the high a frame ceilings and is beautiful inside. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I recommend this place to everyone. Sincerely Rex Howl….”

“What a lovely little Motel. Just like the old days. Bobby Patel took my phone reservation and was so honestly friendly. They didn't need a deposit but just asked if our plans changed to call. Like the old days when people trusted one another (like we all should, be trustworthy). The Motel was clean top to bottom, parking was easy, landscape well cared for and the room comfortable and clean. You can really tell that the manager and staff care about this little gem of a Motel. I would not hesitate to stay again. It is a great value and I hope it stays that way. You may wonder why they have a high rating. After you arrive you will understand. Thank you for your graciousness Bobby, we will return.”

“I stay at the Culver Motel when I moved to California for about one month and the manager and his wife were wonderful, they always asked how things were and offered all the time to clean my room which I did myself because I had a ton of stuff which I had to move around, I talked to many people who had stayed many times including uber drivers and not one ever complained, so the bedbug review was just one of those people who hate everyone this manager would've taken care of that kinda thing right away believe me he takes pride in his work, and I do not work for the company I am a security guard. “My husband and I have stayed here several times and LOVE it! We love everything about it, and as a bonus it is close to lots of wineries. Sandra is the best! We stayed for the first time several years ago to celebrate our anniversary and she went as far as making us dinner reservations for the amazing restaurant in town. The breakfast spread is amazing, and Sandra always makes sure that there are options with no gluten for me. It is such a special touch to wake up in the morning and have your coffee tray waiting outside of your door. I can't recommend this place enough. check it out. You will not be disappointed!!”

“Really great place to trailer/motorhome camp all site are an easy walk to either the main lake or the pond. There is no swimming in the pond but there is in the main lake plus it is in the no wake zone so all boats are taking it easy here. Good fishing in both pond and lake locations very family easy. Quite time are in forced by the roving rangers to help keep it enjoyable for everyone. And the sunset are amazing”

“If you're looking for a budget place that is clean & staff are super friendly than this place is for you. Fridge & microwave in the room. Neighbors are also very friendly. Had a roof rack full of camping gear & there were no problems. If you want to know what makes the rooms 'romantic' then wait till dark & turn off the lights and look up. The ceiling has stars that can't be seen during the day. It looks VERY cool. Would stay here again. Corner store a block away - food beer spirits cigs etc. Fast food 3 blocks away. Costco 3 blocks away. Good location good price GREAT STAFF.”

“Home is what u make of it. It’s a great lil community everyone knows everyone u got ur occasional chismoso but other then that it’s a quite place. The pools r clean. The dumpster area isn’t a dam mess like in most apartment or housing community areas. They should in my opinion get a security to make some rounds at night due to the area it’s in it can b scary walking home at night. No weirdos there on perimeter but they do tend to drift.”

“I love this place. Clean rooms, professional staff, and fairly priced. You are a 2 minute walk to the beach. What could be better? Well, how about letting customers reserve a room with a view. Our room faced a dirt wall. The bed was great, the couch, not so much. However, we have already reserved our next vacation here.”

“Don't like the big red ants throughout the resort. The lake is beautiful but the locals stated it is filled with carp and catfish. -- no bass or trout. Camp appeared to have no curfew. Talking and music was throughout the night. The on-site restaurant and general store were excellent. The staff was cordially, helpful, and accessible.”

“Lived their off and on for around 6 years caregiving for my father and than mother before their passing. In my opinion it's the nicest mobile home community in the Hemet, San Jacinto, Valle Vista area. It's quiet, clean and safe. Was turned from a 55+ to a family park not too long ago and it didn't impact the in any negative way in my view. It stayed the way it always was. Instead now there are slightly more kids running around that live there rather than kids running around visiting the grandparents. Current management is absolutely fantastic. Extremely nice.”

“We don't generally stay in the campgrounds themselves, but up the road just a bit. The campgrounds are nice, they each have their own firepits, conditions permitting, and there is a toilet, not a bathroom but a toilet...imagine an outhouse but with a larger space, wooden walls and concrete floor. It's a dry camp, which means no water. I do believe there is a water spigot of non potable water if I remember correctly, so bring your own water! It's very pretty, lots of trees, a pretty little meadow and creek that runs through it (water is only in it after the snow melts until mid to late August) but the wildlife drinks from it and you can watch them if you stay quiet 🤫 Plenty of trails to hike and exploring to be done! My favorite place to be! This is not a resort! You want to camp, it's your spot! There are spots large enough for a camp trailer if that's how you wanna stay. They are kept clean, but if you stay....you pack it in you pack it out!!! Keep it clean for others to enjoy!! That and you might wake up to critters in your camp!!🦝🐀🐿🐻 From mid August to late October is Deer/Squirrel/Bear season and you will be sharing the mountain with a bunch of hunters...that's where my family and I come in 😉 I just love the clean air, the smell of the trees, the beautiful views and listening to nature!!”

“We got this on a special rate. The queen bed 1 room cabin with kitchen was comfortable and cozy. I really loved how clean everything was on the inside. Bed was super comfy. But wish the windows had an option to make it dark. I also enjoyed the outdoors area they have. Would return again.”
