Bed and Breakfast Craftsman House

Lodging

“We recently stayed at Craftsman House B&B for the 2nd time. We also met a friend from San Diego, who stayed in the smaller room out by the koi pond. We all agreed that this place is a real gem! It is a peaceful and lovely oasis in the midst of the craziness of LA. Luu and Nam-Hao, our host and hostess, were always gracious. Both are well traveled, very intelligent, and love to talk to their guests. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to the LA area.”

The Grand Hotel

Address: 865 W El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA 94087, USA

Lodging

“This was our families 3rd stay in the Grand Hotel in the last 2 years. We absolutely love this place. Super clean! Really amazing staff. Plenty of parking. The beds and pillows are better than most hotels. Breakfast and happy hour are a great bonus while staying here. The accessible rooms have the space needed to move around and have easy access in and out of the hotel. We moved out of the Bay Area a few years ago, so when we come to visit family, this hotel is located in a great area where we can easily visit East Bay, South Bay, and Peninsula families.”

“My mother lived at this mobile home park for many years . My brother now lives there. The spaces for homes are large and homes are not on top of each other. The residents are very friendly and have very attractive, individualized landscape areas around their mobile homes. This facility has been well maintained over the years and doesn't show signs of neglect or need of maintenance. The grounds have man-made ponds and streams running thru out the facility, creating a very relaxing and inviting ambiance. The only negative thing I can say is that the ponds and streams attract wild geese which poop all over. The managers do their best to keep things clean, but it is a challenge. Some residents feed the geese, some say don't feed the geese so they will go away...”

Clean laminate floors with a refrigerator and a microwave. Bed was perfectly fine and the AC/heating worked fine, I had no issues falling asleep. The people who helped me check in and out at the front desk were kind. Thank you everyone!”

Meeks Bay Resort

“This a lovely sand beach with crystal clear water. In august i guess the water was around 20 c degreea. At the left part of the beach there's are no stones in the water. The parking lot is big and for 10 dollar you can park the entire day at some marked areas. You can also park for free but they fill up quicker. You don't have to come super early to get a space. But the Americans bring a lot of stuff to the beach so it can't be hard to get a place at the Waterfront of the beach. To have a look at all the stuff in it self is worth a visit if you are a foreign. There is a small place you Would definitely go to this beach.”

Casa De Fruta Market & Resort

“A fun road trip stop! We enjoyed just walking around and exploring the fruit stand, the playground (a bit run-down, though), and more. The restaurant was actually really good and was my husband's highlight! The highlight for my daughter was the carousel. I loved the cheap price for it! :) Next time we'll try the train ride, which is also a pretty good price.”

Hotel Mira Vista - Berkeley North

Address: 6009 Potrero Ave, El Cerrito, CA 94530, USA

Lodging

“Love this place. Best value for money if you just need a place to stay. The staff are amazing and very accomodating. The best rooms would be facing Potrero Avenue - go grab your free coffee downstairs and observe all sorts of commuters coexist in that spicy intersection. It provides better entertainment than all the channels in your room’s TV combined. My wife and I will be coming back. Thank you, Mira Vista. P.S. please change the pillows they are too lumpy”

“Had the best time with my elderly grandfather and family! Warm boss and really delicious breakfast! The area around the guesthouse is so quiet and beautiful that it's also a great place to take a walk. The inside is really clean and spacious like a hotel, so you can see that the owner put a lot of thought into it. Especially the bathroom is really spacious and clean! My grandfather, who had difficulty walking, was also satisfied and the boss took great care of me! If you have a chance to visit the guesthouse in LA, I recommend it!!!!!!!❤️ Boss Ji~~~~~~ Be kind!”

Gold Mountain Manor Bed and Breakfast

Address: 1117 Anita Ave, Big Bear, CA 92314, USA

Lodging

“10 years ago we stayed at Gold Mountain Manor. It's where we got engaged. We decided to return to the same place and even stayed in the same room. Ownership changed since our last stay but, Darrin and Amy were just as charming as the rooms! You can tell they care so much about your experience. They spare no expense on ensuring the little details are there to make your stay more comfortable and memorable. The bedsheets were so soft it was like sleeping on a cloud. Everything smelled so fresh and pretty. To top it off they have the best employees who care just as much as they do. Georgi was so sweet and attentive. We will definitely be back! This place is truly magical.”

“Amazing location on the marina. Most rules have some sort of water view and you can see all the boats. Hotel has a swanky feel to it. The room was nice. They had "Lather" branded toiletries which were great because they were natural based without sulfates and parabens. They have a pool and hot tub which open at 8:30am and close at 10pm. You can hear the seals on the marina barking from here! All the hotel staff I interacted with were very courteous and polite. A great stay!”
