“Place was nice, area not so nice ,they were kind to me understood understood I had a brother in the coma at the hospital. My last night there was a tiny incident with screams and police between 3 to 5:30 in the morning. I was happy there was no tape and No personal disturbances. Overall clean, waking distance to hospital and sort of reasonable cost for area. Pg”

“For the money it's a room with a bed and a TV. Shared bathroom but if you are not going to be there long why not. If you plan on having guest be prepared to pay $10.00 person. $60.00 if you add one on in the beginning -$55.00 by yourself. It's not a flea bag but it serves it's purpose.”

“The pine hills house was so beautiful and quite. The place was clean and had everything we could need. The location is close enough to Julian yet far enough not to to be private, 5 stars.”

“Cozy and charming, this log cabin home with great upgrades was perfect for our stay—and we’d like to come back! It’s an easily accessible single story nestled in with a few pine trees. Inside, comfortable seating and two wide screen TVs with a warm fireplace make living room hang time and get togethers very relaxing. Its bedrooms and two bathrooms are clean, roomy, and excellently maintained. Kitchen and dining room are well-appointed for group meal preparation and sharing. It’s well-stocked with necessities. We liked having quiet moments inside as well as adventurous explorations outside. This quaint vintage charmer is centrally located to nature walks, mountain slopes, and pontoon boating—not to mention the fun shops and yummy dining in Big Bear village! Big Bear has so much to offer in the way of fun for family and friends. Danny’s Den offers great digs for a memorable Big Bear vacation!”

“First time going to Big Bear and stayed at this lodge, which was recommended by my friends. First impression was what a great view of the lake. We were like a few hundred feet from the lake. We were the only ones staying there for the week so we pretty much had the whole lodge to ourselves. They have different size available lodges which can accommodate different situations. I went with 3 other friends so we didn't need too much space. Very clean cabins. There were a few issues with our cabin but being as old as the lodge is it's understandable. Pet friendly and there's plenty of activities to do with the family. We will be returning next year for sure but probably get a bigger cabin. I do recommend this lodge.”

“Stayed her for a much needed weekend getaway, and loved it! The cabin was super clean, and had all the odds and ends you might need for the kitchen. The bedding and towels were soft and freshly cleaned. I really appreciated that detail. Some other places the towels are rough and feel like sandpaper. Quail Cove is pet friendly, so we brought up our 5month old dog. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again”

“This is a fitness park right next to that mobile home park. Everything here is really basic alrthough its perfect for moms who are on budget and need a place for the kids to play while you work out. I love that its also educational. They have labels so your able to identify the serious plant life. This park is safe for kids its clean well kept and I hope it stays this way. My son absolutely enjoys our time here.”

“The food was great and the ambience was perfect. Our server(s) were on top of everything we needed. The seats were really comfy and well suited to the decor. The steak was perfectly medium rare. Meat was a little tough in places but the char was so perfect I almost didn’t care. I didn’t love the sides too much, but I didn’t hate them either. Exception was the mushroom soup which was perfect in every way except the portion size. If this wasn’t so far from the Bay Area I’d definitely make this a regular stop.”

“We just stayed here last weekend and absolutely loved it! The location is awesome to the resorts. There are frequent shuttles to take you to the main village, but we found that it was just as easy to walk. It was only about a 10-minute walk (we have snowboarding boots so easier to walk in.) We had a full kitchen and separate living room, which was so nice! If we were more prepared, we would have bought groceries on the way into Tahoe. The little market in the village is super expensive. The hot tubs (3 of them!) and heated pool were lovely after a day on the slopes. We frequently visited the coffee bar in the lobby. There are also a lot of activities that this hotel puts on, like yoga, snowshoeing tours, etc. We didn't make it to any of them, but they sound really fun. This is an awesome hotel and we will absolutely stay there again! Also, the staff is SO NICE!”

“Clean, comfortable motel that was perfect for my short visit to the area. Manager was extremely personable and professional. I will stay here again the next time I need to be in this area. Great bed and shower. Perfect desk and chair for a few hours of laptop work. I stayed in room #101.”

“Its a clean place and the front staff were super nice and helpful. Helped with my accommodations i requested by sending just a simple message before my stay. The room was pretty big and smelled good. Ac was nice and cold. Parking lot gets pretty full when they are fully booked but still easy to get in and out. Very close to Legoland and a couple min drive only. Recommend if you are coming and it was a very affordable price. Hope this helped and you have the same experience as us.”

“Its a one bedroom friggen apartment! if this were a rental apartment, I'd gladly pay $600~$900/month to live here. With the giant walk in shower(no tub in our room at least), spacious bathroom, front room, personal parking(for one vehicle) that is beside your room, the rooms have onl one wall shared with another, so each two rooms are individual standing buildings! with the planes, trains, traffic and the colorful nightlife, its kinda not too quiet but I'm kinda not too quiet myself so I can appreciate the background noise to dampen my eachoes in the giant empty room with just one little round table. The room we got was a king, was $118 via priceline and last minute at 11:30pm. however, we were in jurupa valley when we reserved the room(pay later avails by the by) so when we got h're at 12:10, the nice lady said she had to cancel it but we were able to book the same room as "walk ins" but at a $125 rate instead, thats okay. The check-in booth/window had a killer giant pothos plant, a must see. poor guy looks great considering he's out on the cement or black top 24/7 365! the wifi, wonderful like other reviewers say. Now here's the uggo: The extra TP roll had "questionable marks", 'nuff said. there's a tiny window in the bathroom - please use post-shower to help the bathroom not grow mold - everyone can benefit from that, really. The flat screen tv is very steak sauce, however, it chimes *very loudly* everytime it turns on, mute or previous volume adjustments ignored. the 12am cancellation twas lame but understanable. the locationaint pretty, 'cept the pothos and the check in lady, she's real prompt and looked great considering the area plus the hour. Would I do this again? YES. Gonna vacay here like once a month from now on, no joke. hmu, seriously. This area is not for the hoity toity crowds but the rooms can be relished by all. Will add photos once daylight hits - gotta take a photo with that pothos!”

“I was doubtful and skeptical initially. However, this operation is spotless in all the things that you hope for when traveling. I felt as if I was visiting a close relative for a long weekend that happened to be away from their home. I, of course, would have the run of the house. Plenty of freedom, quaint, and quiet inside of the home. However, it is on the corner of a busy avenue yet quiet residential area. UPDATE: bring earplugs. Young adults get rowdy beginning Friday night for the weekend. Neighborhood folks, cars, bus, coming and going during workweek became white noise after initial 24 hours. Being within a few short walking blocks of the Pacific Ocean and good, fairly priced eateries was an absolute bonus. Also, being in the midst of well managed neighborhoods gave a sense of safety for exploring and shopping. I definitely will return for another vacation stay.”

“Safe place to live, love the fact we have a park swimming pools a gym & a guard at the entrance office staff is great, very reasonable half the price of a mortage or an apartment. Sure you don’t own the land but does that really matter.”

“Super cool trail and well marked. We did about 6.4 miles and it took 2 hours to complete. The blooms right now are amazing. According to the map it loops around. Not sure though. According to some other hikers once you get higher up the path it isn’t so well maintained. Maybe next time. And don’t forget your adventure pass or $5.00 cash. Luckily we met some really cool people in the parking lot that let us borrow cash. We repaid him via Venmo 😉”

“Great place to stay in Oakland on a budget. Cassandra is really nice and the proximity to the BART is really nice. Not in a great neighborhood though, so wouldn't recommend going out at night. Felt safe in the house though and the other guests were all friendly. Best part is that Cassandra bakes some times! Today I had peach cobbler tacos. :)”
