Looks like a perfect place to take a dog to let it piss or poop. The BBQ was a nice feature and the trash can was well placed. Very small, but it was perfect for us and what we needed.”

Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park Campground

“Great place for a weekend getaway. The campsites were good size and most of them are relatively private. The bathrooms were always clean. Just bring your own soap and towels, they only stock toilet paper. And stay on the maintained trails because the brush is thick with poison oak. I was a little worried at first because I'm highly allergic to poison oak but I had no issues. Just stay on the paths. I would also definitely recommend taking the short 1 mile hike to Cable Car Beach. It's a beautiful hike to a nice place to chill in the river. Pack a picnic and enjoy the day there. (Just remember there are no dogs allowed in the river and no alcohol either)”

Way Down To Creek

Address: 2635-3899 CA-9, Felton, CA 95018, USA

Park

“I love the riparian area near this trail. I went swimming here during the summer, and there’s really few places I’d rather be than lying by the river on the sun-soaked bank. There are plenty of little secluded rocky beaches that are perfect for picnics or just hanging out. It’s really neat to, to see the roaring camp trains come by. The trail down is a little difficult, but incredibly worth it.”

Cotillion Gardens RV Park

Address: 300 Old Big Trees Rd, Felton, CA 95018, USA

“I and my family have been coming to this campground for over 10 years, with RV's and/ or tent camping. We have generally always found the staff to be friendly, and the sites and grounds well kept. Pricing is reasonable, and the area is stunningly beautiful with easy quick access to the forest, river, trains, beach, etc. So the bathrooms are older, but they are clean and functional. Safe area for kids to ride bikes and go on hikes, plus they have a separate building next to the pool with ping pong, a pool table, and a few video games for the kids. We have enjoyed this spot with 3 generations of our family and will continue to come back.”

Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park

Address: 101 N Big Trees Park Rd, Felton, CA 95018, USA

Park

“Simply amazing! The Henry Cowell State Park is a great snapshot of the Redwoods. The Redwood Grove loop trail is 0.8 miles long and includes 14 informational stops along the way detailing many interesting facts and histories about the Redwoods. The scale of these living giants is hard to comprehend. I took my young family with a stroller no problem. A very flat trail affords easy waking.”

“Great place. Very clean well maintained. Hook ups all worked and would definitely recommend”
