“Wonderful park split over a lower meadow, sandy trails and an upper collection of playgrounds. The topmost playground has accessible facilities and was completely renovated earlier this year. Park up top or at the bottom for a nominal fee or in the stalls right outside. For frequent visitors you can buy a year’s parking pass.”

“My sister had a party there for her twins 1st b-day. The location was awesome. Nice deck outside with views of the lagoon and ocean. There was a bathroom upstairs and area to prepare the coffee and birthday cake (cupcakes). Lastly, the staff was very helpful and showed me where the elevator was to help with my heavy PA system, amps, mics.. etc... I highly recommend this location for small parties of about 30-70 people.. Parking lot was full but there was plenty of parking along the road.”

“We loved visiting this park. The bathrooms were clean. The view of the lagoon was nice, and will be nicer when the lagoon restoration work is finished. The exhibits were interesting to read. Ask the ranger about Annie's Canyon Trail. That's the best part of the park. (Well, my kids favorite may have been the tortoise.)”

“This is a fun and short hike. We started from the North Rios entrance and parked in the street The hike is short about 15 min to the start of Annie's Canyon. We took the difficult trail and it's not that hard. It has beautiful views of the canyons. My 12 yr old daughter had fun climbing the rocks. To get to the top you have to climb a short stairway. The hike on the canyon is short about 10 to 15 min to the top. The hike in between the rocks is a little tight but doable. Fun hike for adults and kids too.”

“Easy to find state beach off of the 101. State parks passes are accepted here. The parking lot is large but can fill up on hot weekend days. The beach gets pretty small at high tide. The beach has a couple of life guard towers. It seems to be a popular surfing spot but there is a designated swimming and body boarding area. There are bathrooms but they are located on the other side of the parking lot.”

“Beautiful little beach, popular for families with little kids. If you don’t want to pay for parking look for spots along the side of the road, it’s still right on the beach. Also if you want to get away from all the kids just walk a little ways down the beach. BTW, if you want to have the whole place to yourself, even in tourist season, come after sunset. Bring a light jacket, couple chairs it’s all yours. Stargaze, watch the waves, look for ships at sea and UFOs. So nice.”

“I go here regularly. It's nice and peaceful. One of the decent trails in San Marcos. The path is a thick shale in most parts. There are some steep parts; so be careful. People jog and walk this path. Some of the trail is dirt biked too. I wouldn't call it easy because of the difficult terrian.”

Nursery Sales Associate Zach took the time to drive through the nursery to find the perfect palms for our front yard landscape project. Scheduler Ryan assisted with getting us scheduled right away since these were large trees and we had other landscape contractors scheduled the following week for other parts of our project. Ryan even came out to our jobsite to ensure that the right equipment would be delivered. Project Foreman Joel came out with all the knowledge & experience for installing these large Date Palms and King Palms. The positioning and accuracy in making sure that they are installed properly & straight is critical for all landscape projects. Joel was patient & persistent in double & triple checking his work then even confirming with the client after EACH tree was installed. We would highly recommend Moon Nursery in Fallbrook.”

“This place is like an oasis in the desert. Quail loop 1-44 site number 4 (handicap placard required by anyone in the group) $30 per night, $10 per additional vehicle not legally towed. If you're bringing a boat PLEASE BRING IT SUPER DRY AND SUPER CLEAN! I can't stress that enough in case you get someone inspecting it who's as thorough as they're supposed to be, then you can't bring your boat in the lake. They might check your motor, carpet, fishing lures, even draining pipes for the slightest hint of moisture. Or you might get someone chill who just does a quick once over and passes you. Either way don't risk it and take a day to really clean and dry your boat so you don't lug it around for nothing. Don't put drinks or ice chest in your boat prior to inspection! There is a charge for boating like $8. So other than that enjoy the clean lake and beautiful views of mountains, the quails, coyotes, squirrels and road runners are fun to look at.”

Cool that tent campers share the same area as well. Quick walk to the beautiful lake and beach. Don’t miss the dam either, very cool. Only a few miles from the city of Perris yet feels like you’re in the great outdoors. We now store our travel trailer nearby for great camping here.”
