“So much fun even when it gets dark , my kiddo enjoys playing at this park and we spent a lot of time here , they should’ve put lights pointing at the playing area since I noticed that people enjoyed bringing their kids even after it gets a bit dark , the park is always clean and , is nice to even take a short walk , the only thing I don’t like is that, they should put a fence around the area where they play basketball so that the ball ???? don’t roll to the street , Menifee street is busy all day and people drive crazy , this is just a subjection”

Will Abell Memorial Trail at Arrowhead Ridge

Address: Lake Arrowhead, CA 92352, USA

Park

“Beautiful hike, but there are multiple trails branching off from the main one, and no markers to tell you where they go or what route to take for certain views. We hiked a 2.5mi loop around the mountainside and completely missed any views of the lake. Asked some other hikers who had been going there for years, and they were just as disoriented. Beautiful area, but needs improved information for hikers.”

Bowen Ranch

Address: 5993-, 6139 Bowen Ranch Rd, Apple Valley, CA 92308, USA

Park

“This is your easiest and safest bet to the hot springs. Yeah the guy working there is a bit of a grump. But that’s only if you get on his bad side, and that’s hard to do. He has to put up with our sh!t all day. Let alone the garbage! Unlike the state parks one might be accustomed to, this is private property that actually needs to be respected. Unfortunately, that doesn’t happen. So the gatekeepers might be a little worn out especially after a holiday rush with people trying to sneak in after hours. But look on the bright side: it isn’t ran by a corporate behemoth. They could sell out one day and let it go to a company who would be eager to charge $50 per person and find ways to subtract from this experience, but these folks persist. They have as much love for the land as you do.”

“Beautiful soft sandy beach with a rock jetty blocking larger waves. This beach is very safe if you have young children that like to play by the shore. It is a regional Park so you have to purchase a day pass to enter. Dogs on leash are welcome here. Clean, plumbed bathrooms are at each parking area and their are also several picnic benches, BBQ pits and outdoor showers for hosing off the sand at the end of the day. This is a great beach for a fun family day.”
