It was a wonderful afternoon! Showers for rinsing sand off, bathrooms were there, very publicly used. Friendly faces strolled by, seeming to enjoy their time in the sand as we were, no one was bothersome! Thanks for the good time”

Fiesta Island Park

“We have been coming to fiesta island since moving to San Diego over three years ago. It's been a wonderful place to visit with dogs because the entire island has been off-leash. Now that is about to change and we will miss it so much. It's really sad when things like this are taken away and we lose the freedom to enjoy such beaches with our dogs.”

“One of my "happy" places! There are great walks as well as hikes and museums about San Diego history. The iconic lighthouse is a great window into the past life of the lonely lighthouse keeper in the 1800's. Also a great place to whale watch in January or February and good birdwatching. Unfortunately they now charge you to even walk into the park. Used to be free for all: cars, bikes and walkers but no more. Still worth it.”
