“Such a great little park. Its close to the street which offers ease getting in and out of the car and it has a fence around it which is nice for keeping the kids from running into it. It's a sand based park with play equipment, swings and a spinning merry- go-round style ride. There are public restrooms. There is a large grass area and sports fields. Rainbow bridge park is just behind it but there is no access when school is in session. The park is clean and in a nice area. It feels safe and peaceful.”

“Really beautiful place. Today after the rain there were so many different species of birds. A little hidden spot that's really worth it. The walking is pretty flat so it is a good place for those looking for a gentler, easier walk. However, it is not really wheelchair accessible.”

“Kind of small but has a great uniquely shaped 1/4 mile tracking for running.”

“Beautiful, quiet, and relatively empty. If you can get on the base, I highly recommend this place. There is tons of beach to walk along or swim in and a couple firepits for s'mores. If you're out of town, check out the cottages! They're right on the beach and pretty affordable for what you get.”

“Juniper canyon is an easy hiking area. Multiple paths allow one to never get bored here and you can explore for a couple hours or just cut through a short path for a leisurely stroll. I've seen very little homeless presence and very little litter as well. The trails are well marked and well maintained.”

“Watched this on Huell Howser multiple times and it totally makes me want to visit. The next time I'm in the area I'm going. Does Sarah still work there??”

“Great venue for Tuesdays Food Trucks!!! such open space for people to scatter around. Went there on a Tuesday for the Food Trucks... but I did see lots of people gathered to excercise, running, walking and other sports! Having several entrances to the park, facilitates it's access, but definitely advise people for your location... some entrances are just easier to get to the point you want. Although it is nice to cross all the way into the park to see the surroundings!”

“Otherwise known as Eddie Gasparra's bench park”
Address: Unnamed Road, Carlsbad, CA 92011, USA
“I’m out of town and was looking for a hike near my stay. I was expecting a real nature encounter (no cars visible, no road noise). This is definitely not a hike at all, it’s definitely just a walk. At the beginning of the trail, traffic is visible and city noise is at a high. It’s a busy walkway with lots of people. There’s a golf course on the side of it and you can access it through the trail. The trail had benches, trash cans, recycle bins, and pretty view of the lagoon.”

“The trail is 5 stars, very beautiful, however parking is a bit limited in the designated lots. There is a fair amount of street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods.”

“Love the lagoon.”

“Good place for dogs. Lots to see and do with plenty of benches for older folks. Many large signs are informative about the lagoon. Lovely vistas of the ocean. Trail continues north along the tracks all the way to Palomar Airport Rd.”

“So nice to just walk up to the ocean that is only 100 feet away from your car! Free roadside parking till 10pm”

“Absolutely love this place! I practically grew up here as a young kid. I used to live in the neighborhood across the way???? very clean and well taken care of.”

“Great trail away from all cars! Note this paved trail can get pretty busy on the weekends. The small parking lot at the entrance can get full quickly so you may need to find another parking spot and walk to the entrance. This trail will go all the way down to Oceanside Harbor and is perfect for walking, running, biking, rollerblading. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a 6' of shortly leash at all times. Seems lately there have been an increase in the number of "urban campers" that hang around some locations but I've never had any issue with them.”

“It is always fun to come here. Love what they did with the kids playground. No more worrying about kids playing for long in the sun.”

“This was an excellent place to stay for our family. Super beautiful. Staff was nice and helpful. The lake was so beautiful. Got fun pictures. Just a good time. There was partial hookups and a dump station. Not expensive! Lovely.”
