“Great place for an afternoon walk and picnic. We take our young kids here and they gave a great time in the wind caves. It's easy to go on a really short walk with very little ones and have the older kids still have a good time. There are picnic tables for a nice lunch as well.”

“A great rock to climb and amazing viewpoint in Rock City Park. A short 10 minute hike or so from the parking area and you are rewarded with great views of the Mount Diablo area and foothills. The nearby surrounding rocks are also a very interesting site to see.”

“Outstanding views the entire trail to the pulpit may not be for everyone but most of it can be done by most children and adults. It is a very difficult climb if you wanted to be on the pulpit itself. Definitely not for everyone the easiest way to access it is from the fire interpretive trail. Hiking from the upper lots would be more challenging.”

“We went on a hike to Mt Diablo. Started from the Mitchell Canyon trial head. And went through fire interpretive trail to Deer Flat. From there to camping area and used to summit trail to get to the summit. It's doable if you are in good shape. Total distance is about 14 miles round trip. Elevation gain is about 3700.”

“Spent many years in thoughtful contemplation. Watching fieldworkers come in while it is dark. They work the land that supplies our food. Seen three years of rotation of the fields for all that grows there now are strawberries. I watched the night sky through many a rough season. Constellation Leo in the early evening hours. My favorite spot to see the full moon rise and set as the night becomes early morning.”

“Great open green park except for the the crazy man who yells and terrorizes people by kicking over all the trash cans and throwing things at people. Dresses all black clothes always the same clothes. Pretty sure he lives in the park along with a hand full of other people. Other than that it's a beautiful place to take your kids or dog. 2 baseball fields and a basketball court”

“Beautiful! Lots of trails and creeks. Plenty of wildlife. There is a ~9 mile trail leading to a lake at the bottom of the valley and a trail that parallels it at the top of the valley going over the low mountains. It’s absolutely gorgeous and the best hiking on this end of the Central Valley. The view is beautiful and it’s well kept up. I highly recommend visiting it, it’s definitely worth your time. Words/pictures can’t do it justice.”
