“Spent many years in thoughtful contemplation. Watching fieldworkers come in while it is dark. They work the land that supplies our food. Seen three years of rotation of the fields for all that grows there now are strawberries. I watched the night sky through many a rough season. Constellation Leo in the early evening hours. My favorite spot to see the full moon rise and set as the night becomes early morning.”

There is a ~9 mile trail leading to a lake at the bottom of the valley and a trail that parallels it at the top of the valley going over the low mountains. It’s absolutely gorgeous and the best hiking on this end of the Central Valley. The view is beautiful and it’s well kept up. I highly recommend visiting it, it’s definitely worth your time. Words/pictures can’t do it justice.”
