We walked down to the river, crossed it and found a secluded shaded spot for picnic and swimming. People are super friendly and it does get crowded. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again.”

Definitely recommend.”

Cesar E. Chavez Park

Address: 401 Golden Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802, USA

Park

“Great park. Kids play and enjoy the park very much. It’s a great place for dogs and great community of people with mostly well behaved dogs. No homeless stay here as it’s attached to the schools, not sure how that works, but it’s working very very very very well. I would highly suggest this park to anyone with dogs or kids to enjoy the day at. Fully fenced. The are set up for baseball games and practice a few days during the week but it’s clearly posted and most people stay away to allow the kids to play. Keep up the work at this park as it’s one of very very very few that are not destroyed by homeless.”

Erwin Lake Park

Address: 1140 Hatchery Dr, Big Bear, CA 92314, USA

“Small but cute park especially for birthday parties or family gatherings. This is my family's go to place for warm weather fun and BBQ’S. There are live animals on the out-skirts (other side of the fence) and the kids love it.”

“Well maintained nice lay out. Essentially two dog runs. you can stay in side run entrance if you need more time or space for your dog to get comfortable or take a time out. Also allows dogs to safely get used to kids playing on the other side of fence. Would be nice to have some grass or bark for variety of surfaces that some dogs need to go to the bathroom but very overall well maintained”

East Asian Collection

“Very vast space to have a picnic, bring the doggies, or play some bball. Very diverse group of people too that come and visit, which is great to see. Most definitely kid friendly with the awesome jungle gyms that they have for the kids. Come prepared with lunch or snacks because you will want to explore the park or at least sit down and let the kids run wild.”

“I have had amazing days here with my kids. It is peaceful and secluded. We pack a picnic and enjoy getting away from the city for hours.
