“You know... there have been complaints of homeless hanging out. We saw them. They mind their own business. The real disappointment were the moms with kids who allowed their kids to leave empty drink containers. Overall the park is well kept and it's quiet.”

“This is a such a fun spot for day use or camping. It does get loud with campers playing music and kids running around. I can say that at 10 pm, everything and everyone quiets down. We walked down to the river, crossed it and found a secluded shaded spot for picnic and swimming. People are super friendly and it does get crowded. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again.”

“Nice little dirt trail nature area along the creek. Lots of birds and squirrels in the trees. Like others have said there’s no benches or tables to rest at. I didn’t see any homeless activity during my walk with the dog.”

“Small museum and trail on Kumeyaay site. We got a personalized walk on the trail with a knowledgeable guide and another guide led us through the museum, giving us more info. Great spot to learn about the area's indigenous people. Very friendly guides. Nicely-done displays.”

“We went during a snow storm. The yurt we stayed at was spacious, beautiful, clean, warm and cozy. Service was great. I was a little worried about the roads, but every morning staff would clear the road. We will definitely return again... next time when there is no snow so we can explore the trails. Definitely recommend.”

“Amazing park right on CSD's main properly. A huge open field with a trail, dog park, public bathrooms, a kid's playground, a toddler's playground, a skatepark, public pool, large gym, batting cages, basketball nets and a full sized designated baseball field all in one spot.”

“Relaxing and wide open field that is big enough for multiple groups of people to play sports or play fetch with their dogs. Recommend bringing a hat on a sunny day as trees provide shade only on the outskirts of the park.”

“Great park. Kids play and enjoy the park very much. It’s a great place for dogs and great community of people with mostly well behaved dogs. No homeless stay here as it’s attached to the schools, not sure how that works, but it’s working very very very very well. I would highly suggest this park to anyone with dogs or kids to enjoy the day at. Fully fenced. The are set up for baseball games and practice a few days during the week but it’s clearly posted and most people stay away to allow the kids to play. Keep up the work at this park as it’s one of very very very few that are not destroyed by homeless.”

“Small but cute park especially for birthday parties or family gatherings. This is my family's go to place for warm weather fun and BBQ’S. There are live animals on the out-skirts (other side of the fence) and the kids love it.”

“Well maintained nice lay out. Essentially two dog runs. you can stay in side run entrance if you need more time or space for your dog to get comfortable or take a time out. Also allows dogs to safely get used to kids playing on the other side of fence. Would be nice to have some grass or bark for variety of surfaces that some dogs need to go to the bathroom but very overall well maintained”

“Such a lovely and serene place to relax. Always a peaceful vibe. Highly recommend walking the full loop around the entire arboretum and seeing all of the amazing exhibits. The Australian garden is my fave.”

“Very vast space to have a picnic, bring the doggies, or play some bball. Very diverse group of people too that come and visit, which is great to see. Most definitely kid friendly with the awesome jungle gyms that they have for the kids. Come prepared with lunch or snacks because you will want to explore the park or at least sit down and let the kids run wild.”

“I have had amazing days here with my kids. It is peaceful and secluded. We pack a picnic and enjoy getting away from the city for hours. My tip if you come here is to be prepared for variations in water flow, if it's too high you can always head back to knights ferry. Also PICK UP YOUR TRASH, PLEASE AND THANK YOU. #LEAVENOTRACE”

“Very quiet and fun places with two parking lots and with multiple facilities such as climbing, slides, long swing rings, small playground, basketball court, baseball court, and big grassland, besides, you may barbecue here. There is no much more people here at weekend. It is super fun for both small and big kids. Some fields are under construction. Strong recommendation!”
