“We absolutely LOVED this campground. We were very fortunate to get a campground for a second night, as we made a last minute decision to stay. The bathrooms were convenient and clean, we we're about 100 ft from the ocean; perfect for watching the sun come up and set. Not sure I want to camp anywhere else, now that we've been spoiled by Francis Beach.”

“It was grey, windy & the waves were menacing! However, it could never NOT be amazing- the ocean is a sound reminder of how small we are.. I would definitely come back, especially if I were able to enjoy the outdoors. There were lots of tables and many various viewing vantage points. There is a $10 fee- for your reference. I think it is worth it, especially if you can make it a longer day experience.”

“Last exit when going towards Fremont from Menlo Park, just before getting on the Dumbarton bridge. Excellent place for bird photography. You can see various bird species here and can shoot some candid shots of birds trying to catch fishes in the pond. The hike itself is in and back, very short around one mile in total.”

“Outstanding. I have been very fortunate to have seen Grackles, Kestrels, and even a White-tailed Kite in the parking lot trees.”

“This place is super beautiful. spent half day there today. Especially during Jan to March when there are a lot of water and the mountains are green. Bunch of wild lives, flowers. The trails are good for hiking or biking, family friendly. Entry is $5. There are a lot of parking space inside. Some people park outside of the park and walk in.”

“I enjoy this area I access from the frontage road next to I-680. It's not only a refuge for birds and other local wildlife it's a portal for duck hunters. The hunters actually help manage the duck population. There are different types of ducks they are allowed to hunt for. The quantity caught varies from one type to another as well. I like this hunting idea of management so I don't have to try my abilities of crawling through mud for a bird for Christmas dinner. I've talked to some of the hunters. They love it. Too many ducks we might be killing them in commuter traffic as they go splat into the car windshield. OMG.”

“Too many wonderful to list here. Worlds away from the hustle and bustle. You can choose from bay and city views or opt for scenic vistas and diverse terrains you probably never knew existed so close to home.”

“What a gem hidden on the Oakland hills. This is an extremely nice walk ideal to spend half of an afternoon with kids and their families. It was raining when we visited but the canopy of the trees protected us. No problema at all, very little mud. This also means there is a lot of shade and protection when it's sunny and hot. It takes about two hours to go back and forth with very slow kids.”

“Good spot for the quick 1 mile loop or the much longer 6.5 loop! If you go for the longer (King’s Canyon) I recommend doing it counter clockwise and getting the big hill out of the way first. This spot connects to a lot of trails and a lot of those trails allow dogs (on leash).”

“Why would we give this 5 stars? Because it's like everywhere else along the Bay Trail. East Bay Regional Parks has made this entire beautiful area more accessible. The point itself has some real interesting Sandstone formations and tidepooling here can be fun at low tide.”

“East Bay Regional Parks is doing a great job connecting all the smaller trails which will eventually become the Bay Trail. The section has really nice views and now a pedestrian / cyclist Bridge that goes over the railroad tracks.”

“Paid parking but it’s not too expensive. Max 2 hour parking but you can easily walk around the reservoir within 1 1/2 hour. Also has a great picnic area with playground and play structure for the family. Also great place to walk the dog, there’s a water bowl halfway around the reservoir with a little water tap with clean water to drink. Several public restrooms around the reservoir too.”
