“Nice big park but some don't leash their dogs and that can be very problematic. Especially when you're walking with four or five dogs and somebody's not paying attention and they're playing fetch. So just be cautious and aware of your surroundings”

“basketball court, open grass field, playground and a pool. good, solid park”

“Not really a trailhead but it is definitely the start of the hike. Parking: if you have an adventure pass then you can park close, of not then you are going to have to pack behind the gate which is 1/4 of a mile down the road. The trailhead is easy to miss as there are no signs. But definitely noticeable if you know what to look for. Simply put, look for a mountain opening, a valley of sort on the left side. Not hard to see. Once you find it, cross the river/stream, walk into the valley and follow THAT stream up to the falls. Hike is easy and difficult depending on the area. You might have to climb a tiny bit. Good for kids with a little supervision. I take my toddler with me all the time. He walks about 1/8 of a mile on his own but mostly in a child carrier backpack. Go early as the valley and canyon can warm up. Easily 5*+ degrees warmer than the rest of Orange County. Bring water and snacks. Trail itself is primarily shaded but always bring sunblock. Depending on the water level, you might have to walk through water at some crossings or not so be prepared for that too See my other review and photos posted at "hidden falls"”

“Theres a small aquifer/spring on the trail that I've gotten many a drinks from on this trail. It's not a very rigorous trail, but its such a fun trail to venture out on. Santiago peak, although not the most exciting peak, still provides exceptional views of Lake Elsenor to the east and orange county to the west.”

“It's a beautiful park. It's has plenty of benches and tables for many owners. They always have bags in case you forget yours at home to pick up after your dog. It's fantastic dog park. Also has working water fountain for the dogs to have some water.”

“We saw some water pressure on the old water vent tubes, at the Etiwanda trail. It rained for few weeks, but looks really great! We presumed the park workers put some small granite rocks on the trail, to have more grip and safety on the hike. The Etiwanda Falls had awesome, having clear water flow.”

“A nice campground located in the mountains with a beautiful view of the park. Staff is friendly and the price was good. We spent only one night but I'd definitely come back. It has a lot of people who live there during the whole year, so it has a very friendly energy.”

“Bair Island is a vital and beautiful gem, a preserved space from an earlier era, and one of the last remaining natural marshlands in the bay. It is home for innumerable birds, feasting on the creatures of the muck and mud and tall grasses. Go there and watch them.”

“Adorable little park. Great for family outings. Actually, I think because it is so small, it's nice to walk over and sit on a bench for a few minutes with my cat. There's also a water fountain, but I've never used it.”

“Nice clean friendly park. Benches for parents and a selection of sizes on the play equipment. The entire area around the playground is fenced with a latched gate so you know your kids can't slip out on the far side. All my kids enjoy being here from the 2 year old to the 10 year old.”
