Hallmark Park

Address: Belmont, CA 94002, USA

Park

“This park is really small from what I've seen. It has a tennis court and a play structure, but overall seems very mediocre. The main attraction is the cross country track / park directly behind it, which offers a beautiful hike and a gorgeous view of the crystal springs reservoir.”

“Water dog park lake Is such a blast for you and your friendly little pooch. The trials are adventurous and fun. Kid and dog friendly. Crowded on the weekend and few people on the week day depending on if you love crowds or if your solo. Water at dog park lake has room temperature water. My pooches who are small dogs love it. Joaquin Miller Dog Park

Address: 3590 Sanborn Dr, Oakland, CA 94602, USA

Park

“There are 2 large, enclosed spaces, one for larger or energetic dogs, and one for small dogs and dogs with lower energy, etc. When it's rainy, however, the lower enclosure for smalls gets water logged and not useable. Usually a good space and people follow rules for safe dog play. If your dog becomes disinterested or overwhelmed with the other dogs, it's quite easy to just leave and walk up the paths instead. I like this dog park best out of any in the area. I think it's the perfect size for a quick dog social, then a walk.”

Woodminster Cascade, Joaquin Miller Park

Address: 3300 Joaquin Miller Park, Oakland, CA 94602, USA

Park

“Has a dog park, hiking trails for hiking and biking, stairs to run on, a theatre, basketball court, and a Vista point of a scenic view of the bay area. Definitely a park to check out in Oakland. And please pick up after yourself after taking a photo shoot or having a picnic. It annoys me that there are fake flower petals/confetti on the ground because you don't want to clean up after yourself. And dog poop too.”

Huckleberry Botanic Regional Preserve

Address: 7087 Skyline Blvd, Oakland, CA 94611, USA

La Moine Valley View Park

Address: Richmond, CA 94803, USA

Park

Dalewood Park

Address: Sundown Terrace, Orinda, CA 94563, USA

Park

Bear Creek Staging Area

Address: 16 Bear Creek Rd, Lafayette, CA 94549, USA

Park

“Nice place to hike or get a run in. You have your choice of killer hills or gradual hills. The trails are maintained and in pretty good shape. There's some trees for shade, but it goes away when you hit the pastures. Yup. You get to run with cows around you. Don't worry, the ignore you. You mostly just have watch for their patties scattered throughout the trail. Overall I like this park. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the lack of decent bathrooms. There's porta potties and outhouses. That's it.”

Maud Whalen Group Campsite

Address: Mott Peak Trail, Martinez, CA 94553, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Small hike. Green. Newts. Campbase. Cows. Lots of nature.”
