“This park is really small from what I've seen. It has a tennis court and a play structure, but overall seems very mediocre. The main attraction is the cross country track / park directly behind it, which offers a beautiful hike and a gorgeous view of the crystal springs reservoir.”

“Great little neighborhood park to ride...lots of trails that can be looped together for longer rides. The nice thing is the trails interlock within each other so you won't get lost.”

“Water dog park lake Is such a blast for you and your friendly little pooch. The trials are adventurous and fun. Kid and dog friendly. Crowded on the weekend and few people on the week day depending on if you love crowds or if your solo. Water at dog park lake has room temperature water. My pooches who are small dogs love it. They love splashing in the water and chasing a ball in the open space sand. I recommend this highly.”

“There are 2 large, enclosed spaces, one for larger or energetic dogs, and one for small dogs and dogs with lower energy, etc. When it's rainy, however, the lower enclosure for smalls gets water logged and not useable. Usually a good space and people follow rules for safe dog play. If your dog becomes disinterested or overwhelmed with the other dogs, it's quite easy to just leave and walk up the paths instead. I like this dog park best out of any in the area. I think it's the perfect size for a quick dog social, then a walk.”

“Has a dog park, hiking trails for hiking and biking, stairs to run on, a theatre, basketball court, and a Vista point of a scenic view of the bay area. Definitely a park to check out in Oakland. And please pick up after yourself after taking a photo shoot or having a picnic. It annoys me that there are fake flower petals/confetti on the ground because you don't want to clean up after yourself. And dog poop too.”

“Awesome starting point for a beautiful hike in the redwoods. Bathrooms, maps, and water fountains. Parking gets crowded on weekends.”

“A rare plant community is the highlight of this park. Loop routes require descent/climbing but you can do an out&back route for a flatter trip. All trails connect to the larger east Bay ridge network - from here you can hike north to Sibley or south to Redwood Regional.”

“Nice place to hike or get a run in. You have your choice of killer hills or gradual hills. The trails are maintained and in pretty good shape. There's some trees for shade, but it goes away when you hit the pastures. Yup. You get to run with cows around you. Don't worry, the ignore you. You mostly just have watch for their patties scattered throughout the trail. Overall I like this park. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the lack of decent bathrooms. There's porta potties and outhouses. That's it.”
