“Great park for workouts on the hill and for kids to play at the playground! It’s basically a multilevel park starting with the lower flat area with a parking lot, playground, picnic tables and restrooms. There’s also a long open lawn, good for playing football or any field sports among friends or family. Not so much a place for organized team sports with spectators, as the field is narrow with homes and yards alongside it. Above the lawn is a large hill with traversing pathways and lots of steps. It’s a nicely maintained natural shaded area, where some users enjoy a leisure walk and others prefer the workout. The north end of the hill is void of vegetation, as this is the sand dune, the namesake of the park! Do the dune! My friends would say, as we used jog up and down the large sand dune! It was a great warmup before going down to the beach to surf! Now access to the dune is limited because it’s become so popular! Furthermore, pandemic related closures regarding distancing and staffing, have the dune yet to return to the previous regular open access use. Online reservations may be needed for now. Still the park remains one of the most natural and beautiful parks to go to in South Bay!”

“Very nice little park. Kinda wish it had tables tho, but sitting under a tree is still nice if the grass isn't wet lol. Also Amazon likes to test their new delivery robots in this area so be aware of that.”

“One of the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. Despite Sunday morning, I saw many people enjoying hiking or bike riding. It took me 1h 20min each way, so 3 hours in total to hike. Go in early morning or evening, and you’ll enjoy the gorgeous sunrise or sunset!”

“This is a spacious recreational area with two large-sized playgrounds and multiple gazebos with plenty of seating for larger group activities. The recreational area offers plenty of space for parking as well as lots of open grassy areas for playing football, soccer, tag, baseball, cornhole, frisbee, hide and seek, etc. There is also a miniature golf course, basketball court, and a pool with a tall water slide. At the time of this review 6-24-22, the pool was closed. There is an RV park attached to the park with laundry facilities. Both the RV park and the recreational area require reservations.”

“Great class for beginners! It doesn't matter if you have a little experience, no experience, Justino and Dayle will work with your level. The class size is very small so you get a lot of individual attention. Justino is very patient. He explains everything step by step, and will ease you to the next step when you're ready. Both instructors are very encouraging and so are the other students. I had tried learning once in my own and after this class I was able to bike straight and was learning my turns. Definitely recommend this class, it's cheaper than all other classes, conveniently located by the Santa Monica bike path, easy parking lot, and fun! I plan on taking one more to continue working on my turns. They supply the bikes and helmets, and you can take breaks as needed. Thanks Justino and Dayle!”

“Pros: 30 minutes from town so super convenient. They have actual flushing toilets and sinks up the road which I highly recommend. There's an ampitheatre for group activities. Can hike and fish with any age. Lots of parking! Trailer accessible. Free dump site for your trailer. Cons: each campsite doesn't have a fire pit. Actual dirt area in campsite is very small. No soap in the bathrooms, and the porta potty in the actual campsite smells horrible. Saw multiple HUGE turantula spiders and had coyotes in our campsite. Overall was okay for a quick getaway though.”

“I have only been here after dark and late night. The place is quiet and very clean there are restrooms behind what appears to be a dugout baseball field at the far end from parking lot ... they close them in the evening. There are also several nice Chest/Domino tables set up with boards already built-in just have to bring your own pieces or they could be used as mini picnic tables peaceful nabor hood .”

“I am a Dodo gardener and everything usually dies that I plant but the great news is that everything I bought here grew beautifully! I took out my front yard and bought about 20 California Natives last spring and they are all blooming right now! I love this place! Even though I live in Visalia I can’t wait to go back. Bonnie is the owner and is an amazing person and very patient with Dodos that have not given up gardening!”

“Incredibly beautiful and clean park! It’s located in a nice quiet area. We visited from out of the State and brought our son to play to get some “energy out”. The only downside I’d say is the scribbling near the plaque of the family that donated the park. It’s sad when parents allow their children to deface something that’s meant to show and remind people of who gifted this park for the community and all to enjoy it. If anyone cleans it up, please keep it clean to remind others to maintain the cleanliness of the park. Overall it’s an amazing little park that sparks any child’s creativity and mind.”
