“Amazing beautiful place. Dispute paying a fee to enter, which we were not expecting. I feel it was worth it. Although the weather wasn't great, the gardens and featured examples of Japanese cultured art and garden features were the perfect setting to unwind after taking in the busy San Francisco city. The small but providing a awesome selection of fresh teas and other treats that we couldn't resist. All at a reasonable price with a fantastic staff serving.”

“It's still a new garden and it will take several years to one or two decades to get to it's potential. However this is a unique opportunity to see the making of a garden and look at the plants (trees) when they are young. If you are a San Francisco resident that can be awesome to come and check this garden every year/s (especially with children).”

“Inside the Golden Gate Park these falls along with the Lake and the boat rentals is something I recommend as a must destination in San Francisco. People wull be surprised every time they go to the Golden Gate Park just like I am. I always find sometging new, I love bringing my teen daughters here for a day with "dad" There is plenty of parking next to the lake, just have to look for it. Enjoy.”

“Great little hike up a small hill to great views of the city. The hill used to have a building on it from the world's fair and you can still see remnants of the foundation. There's a pretty long trail going all the way around it if you want a pretty walk, or go strait up or down by using the stairs at the waterfall. There are two bridges on each side of the hill to get up to it. Be sure to check out the waterfall too if you're here.”

“Nice little park very close from my home. Lots of benches with an amazing bay view. The views of the Bay bridge are great. The park is dog friendly. It’s not super clean though, and some of the benches smell bad.”

“Great hikes but a few words of advice... Download offline maps, know which trail you want to do then follow it, and last but not least.... Don't get lost! Went to do The Grotto Trail, ended up doing a trail that was 6 mi plus while The Grotto Trail is half that. Don't forget to bring water obviously and tons of sun screen. Adequate parking for the demand.”

“It's shaded and a leisurely path. Lots of plants and wildlife if that's what you're after. But the 8 dollars parking fee feels steep as there is no way to really spend an entire day here! I parked on the PCH, unaware there even was a parking structure and then realizing it was full but I wonder what would the authorities day if I did the same on a day the parking lot is not full.”

“Either way you start on this Trail it is a butt kicker. My personal favorite is to start Inn at Coyote park taking the Coyote park trailhead on the south end of the park up to the hill and making a loop out of it.”

“Great hiking with dog. Watch out for bikers coming downhills. No shade. Bring plenty water. Only restroom is, near the Elementary School so go before heading up to the trails.”
