Emerald Park

Address: 1900 Genesee Ave, La Verne, CA 91750, USA

“Amazingly fun park, but just be mindful of the locals who live there and try not to make too much noise. There is a small jungle gym, and a soccer/large field of grass. However, it is right by the 210 freeway, so it might be a little loud.”

Marshall Canyon Trail

Address: 1758 Orangewood St, La Verne, CA 91750, USA

Park

“We actually didn’t plan to hike this trail but glad we did. Lively wildlife with lots of birds, frogs, rabbits. Creek water crossings (be careful when it rains, you can tell it can get flooded easily). For those that are rock hounds and enjoy geology, I recommend waking right along the creek (trail is right next to it). Also, easily accessible for photographers that want to shoot portraits. I was also surprised by the variety of plant life. Oaks and eucalyptus trees within a few hundred feet of each other. There’s a swing, currently along the trail (Dec 2018). Saw horse poop so maybe you’ll be lucky enough to see someone ride through. Terrains is pretty flat in the beginning. LOTS of bikes, as everyone has said.”

Overlook Park

Address: 2861 Woodview Rd, Chino Hills, CA 91709, USA

“A nice park just to relax and have peace and quiet. Too baf the tree blocks the town view but overall a clean non ghetto park ????????”

Campground Park Lodging

“We took our family, 1 teenager, 2 younger kids as well as grandparents in their 70’s and 80’s for a day trip to the tide pools. You need to make sure to check the tide reports before going and plan accordingly. We went at dusk which was great to have the sunset as well as low tide. We went about an hour before low tide and spent a few hours there and found numerous sea creatures. Of course regular, small fishes, hermit crabs, crabs, and snails. But then we also found sea stars, numerous giant sea slugs and once an octopus!”

Tide Pools

Address: 3712 Ocean Blvd, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625, USA

Park

“Going to the titles of something that our family loves to do try to go out there at least once a month to go look at the national wildlife in the tidepools it's not uncommon to find little pools with fish octopus and other plant life. Parking may be hard to find so I recommend getting there early or parking further out and riding a skateboard or just walking down to the beach it's not recommended to park in neighborhoods where there are lots of people due to the fact that if you want to get out early or leave fast you will not be able to do so due to the people coming in and out of their house”

Citrus Ranch Park

Address: 2910 Portola Pkwy, Tustin, CA 92780, USA

Park

“Beautiful park! This is one of my family’s favorite places for doing weekend picnics, birthdays and holidays. It has several large concrete picnic tables with standing covers; which is perfect for my large family. It has a decent bathroom (for a park) inside of a beautiful concrete building. There are steps and wheelchair access. There is free parking and a drive up round about to make it easier to transfer my Grandmother from her wheelchair in and out of the car. Highly recommend for families looking for easy wheelchair access!”

One of our favorites. Lush green grass. Everyone is there just enjoying the day, keep to themselves while the kids play. Restrooms are available. Nice little use your own weight style workout area.”

Phillips Ranch Park

“The paw park is absolutely stunning and we'll maintained. The agility obstacles to the given dog utilities is a straight plus one for me. The picnic area is fairly small so it probably won't be good to have big parties here. The public bathrooms are fairly taken care of and there's hardly any trash in the park which says something. The parks located in a quiet neighborhood so if your looking for a quiet space then this park is for you.”
