Seasons Park

Address: 5425 Harris Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93313, USA

“They did a great job replacing the old equipment. It was sorely needed!! I only wish it was slightly bigger, as the park has more room than some of the others. There are no swings anymore.”

Quail Campground

Address: Quail, Moreno Valley, CA 92555, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“Pic is from the beach at parking lot 9. On the reservation map, Quail looked like the tent locations were more spaced out. Couldn't tell if anything was going on at either amphitheater, but the museum is only open Friday? Bring your own beach chair and shade in case you don't get a picnic table at the beach. The camp has flush toilets, a shower, a dumpster nearby (don't leave food or trash out at night), running water nearby, a drinking fountain at the bathroom, and friendly employees. Google Maps says this is in Moreno Valley which is technically true, but it's actually in Lake Perris SRA. LoL, someone said that the firewood was cheaper at the Stater Brothers but unless you're already going there it's a 20 minute drive so if you're only getting one or 2 bundles, it's worth getting it at the campground gate (time and gas) but if you need other supplies, the shopping area around the Stater Bros is huge, including a Walmart Supercenter and most fastfood restaurants.”

Island Park Campground

Address: 32303 E Trimmer Springs Rd, Sanger, CA 93657, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Great park. Gorgeous view from our site. There are off road trails and a pretty beach just down the hill, and the bathroom facilities are simple but clean (they had one shower in the one i went into). We went in December and the park was nearly empty. There are fire rings as well, and the site we were in was huge! Some of the sites are pretty unlevel, but ours was fine. The campground is also dog friendly as long as they are leashed. Just a note, There are some sharp turns to get to the park that might be difficult to navigate if you have a bigger rig/rv, but we made it fine with our 35ft camper. Well definitely be going back.”

Mt. Davidson

Address: Myra Way, San Francisco, CA 94127, USA

Park

“Mt Davidson is a scenic and quaint getaway from the buzzing streets of SF. Located close enough to Twin Peaks to almost offer the same views, it brings the advantage of being less crowded, so overall a good time. Reasons you should visit: 1. Dramatic panoramic views in every direction. On a clear day, you can see far the hills of the faraway south bay and diablo area. 2. Tree cover for most of the climb up to the summit, which is unique for an SF park. This is made even better on rainy and foggy days, as the park develops a mystic charm. 3. Surrounded by residential neighborhoods, so there's very little noise pollution from traffic and most foot traffic is friendly. Highly recommend adding to your SF bucket list if you haven't seen it already!”

California Botanic Garden

Address: 1500 N College Ave, Claremont, CA 91711, USA

Park

“I was stuck in the hustle and bustle and came across this gem on my GPS. It was only $10 (can get online or in-person). It was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. Being, that it was a weekday, there was almost no one. The sounds of so many birds, was incredible. Walking by the ponds and hearing the water, was incredibly peaceful. I was able to take my time and walked the entire garden. Be aware, there are some small freaks, closed for updating. Great place to get away from the noisy city streets.”

Got here early so we were able to get a good spot by the water. This time around we brought our 2 dogs, my English bulldog enjoyed the cold water so did the family. Saw alot of people float down the river & some float with their kayaks as well too.”

Ricardo Breceda's Art Gallery

Address: 44395 White Mountain Rd, Aguanga, CA 92536, USA

“We noticed some huge sheet metal sculptures from the highway, and decided to check it out. There is a $10 fee to enter the sculpture garden, but in exchange you get a small artwork to take with you, or a credit toward the purchase of a larger piece. There are works by seven different artists displayed. I was amazed, and glad we stopped by. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that the prices are not posted, although it was interesting talking with the gentleman there about the artworks while getting the price information.”

Everything looks great: clean and blossoming The minus of the place right now it’s dry little pond in the middle of the park(( Lots of ducks and gooses walking around desperately looking for water they used to enjoy before! Also be careful with the poop those birds!!! #PoopAlarm Anyway, I find this place one of the finest places around! #CentralParkSanJose #ParkCalifornia”
