“Mystic canyon trail has a few sections that are quite steep. If you can get past those you will be rewarded with some nice views of the San Gabriel valley and beyond on just a 20-30 min hike (each way). From the top of mystic canyon trail you can choose to continue up Monroe Truck Trail all the way to the top of Glendora Mountain Road, or down it along the creek. For the more adventurous poop out trail from the intersection of Glendora Mountain Road and Big Dalton canyon is a straight up scramble to the top of mystic canyon trail. For the less adventurous you can take Big Dalton trail to the campground (just turn right at the BIG Boulder). Usually there are trail maps at the trailhead. Have a great hike!”

“Pretty neat park in the middle of no where practically. Was there on the weekend so a lot of parties but the atmosphere was great. Plenty of space, facilities are well kept, and the water park was fun for the kids (I was there during the summer.) I would say there was ample parking for a full place and the trees were amazing for shade on a hot day.”

“Huntington dog beach is full of happy dogs. I was here with my son. We watched some surfing and dug in the sand a little. This location was very peaceful. We were here in the morning from 830 to 930 on a Saturday. It was steady, but not busy.”

“Open Sunrise to Sunset. I have been hiking here for the last 20y. Great to go back today and see the grass already 6 inches tall and some of the flowering plants starting to grow as well. All damp after the recent rains, but the trail is dry and easy to walk upon. The loop took about 80 min walking slowly. Groves of oak trees, fields of shrubs, old citrus and avocado orchard remnants, hay rake and disk harrow to start with, then through a smooth trail with rock formations on both sides. Lots of short side trails to explore. Then the detour which takes you through the center of the park to the campground and then back to the upper parking lot. Deer tracks throughout and hawks in the sky. The lower parking lot is free and never full, the upper lot costs $5. Both have a toilet. The campground also has a toilet. Lots of picnic tables scatter around at the start of the loop and at the campground. I have never seen anyone camping.”

“Amazing staff and an all around great experience. The "theme" weekends are the best. You can tell they really care about the safety and comfort of all the guests. The wildlife is everywhere so be prepared and some of the roads are rough but it is a great rural camping experience in the middle of the city. It's off the beaten path but well worth the journey.”

“If you were looking for a fun thing to do, a nice way to waste or spend your time, or just something new then you should definitely check this place out. If you have the available time and are willing and able then I would recommend checking this place out at least just once or maybe twice. If you don't love it well it was still worth trying something new and giving it a shot”
