LA/Ventura County Line

“After hiking to Rocky Peak, Google asked me to write a review of the "LA / Ventura County Line." First of all, thank you Google! Whenever I go hiking it's always nice to know that someone, even someone in the cloud, knows exactly where I am. Just thinking about the data mining companies knowing my whereabouts at all times and providing such information to the highest bidder just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling! Now back to the "LA / Ventura County Line." Well, it's an invisible line so not really foremost on my mind when I hike. It's highly significant when property taxes are involved but perhaps an absurdity (like all borders when you think about it) when one is hiking in public space. However, Google did give me an assignment so on the hike back I wrote this song in my head: oh line!/Oh Line you're so fine/you nearly blew my mind.... Well the rest of the song was even worse so I won't fill cloud space for all the fine cloud zombies with such piffle. Suffice it to say that it's better than the "LA / Orange County Line" but perhaps not as scenic as the "SF / Marin County Line." I tend to love invisible things when they are in beautiful places so look forward to posting reviews of more "lines" in the future, so long as Google continues to send me assignments. BTW, I made up a line dance but it was even worse than the song. Just embarrassingly bad. Hike on!”

“The trails here are absolutely stunning at day break. The trails range in difficulty but nothing too crazy. I come here at least 3 times a week to hike up some crazy steps and grab some much needed views. The only down side is that you have to walk through the trump golf course to get to them. Free parking and pleasant enough people around. If you're looking for a place to hike solo this is it. No weirdos or sketchy people around and everyone that you pass are friendly enough. Still... that being said always stay alert of your surroundings just in case.”

BP&L 4N32

Address: 31375 Aliso Canyon Rd, Palmdale, CA 93550, USA

“Cool fire road that goes past two open pit mines. Watch out for 18 wheelers on the week days!!!! They use the road to get to the mines so stay out of their way and go slow around the blind corners! Bunch of spur trails for all types of recreational activities. Only issue is the Forest Service has all the adjoining fire road gated closed so no good OHV loop trails just out and back. But at least we have this bit that is open. So go see it it’s beautiful!!!!!!!”

“Awesome for taking your paddle board or kayak out on the harbor. Residential area no parking lot only curbside parking. Park and restrooms are clean. Water is sometimes dirty alot of foam in the water and people throw their trash in water. This would be even a better place if only people did not litter.”

Will Rogers State Historic Park

“I visited this place with my son and we both liked this place. Except some horses back left in pathways was clean with nice people and horses the entrance fee that is look is for parking is 12$ and you can ride a horse and just pay tips. So, if you park your car in the street you don’t need to pay parking fee.”
