“I tent camped for three nights towards the middle to end of May of 2022. I heard there were supposed to be a lot of bears, but I did not see one at all, which I was actually bummed out about. My camp neighbor saw one earlier in the morning before I arrived for the first night. There's tons of wildlife! There's also a trail that goes all around the campgrounds and part of it leads straight out to the lake. Bathrooms are nice and well kept (just make sure to bring your own soap and towel), and there is someone patrolling the grounds every hour or so. Fire pits are very large and have a grill you can put on it if you want to smoke something, and they have charcoal grills if you prefer that. It's also not far from the nearest market and about 10 minutes from Tahoe City if you need anything more. I only gave it a 4 because the sites could stand to be more private, and the roads/parking spaces are a tad confusing if you've never been there before. Overall, it's a lovely campsite and I would definitely visit again.”

My dog is about 14 and 1/2 years old but quite spry for his age but every once in awhile he's it does catch up with them, so it's nice to have a park that I can walk to within 4 minutes and then another one down the street about 10 minutes away that's really big. Nice and quiet area everyone friendly. Dogs will come but there are no dog bags on the premise and this is pretty much just a roundabout it's been turned into a park with a trellis in the center and some trees that I under”

“Its very convenient and walk distance for me. This is the only park that I know, has a cover in the play structure are, which is great. Its clean. I have not find needle, or trash in the park. We like the workout equipment. The only deficiency is that, not enough area to have a picnic or green area to sit. The picnic table could have some improvements. There are good amount of bathrooms but really requires an update. Toilet is so hight , not toilet paper available. The sink area don't have water. However, overall is a nice park. Includes soccer field, basketball, baseball area.”

There is plenty of parking at the docks and for those who don't have boats you can drive there and park in the spacious parking lot area, if you decide you want to stay longer there is a campground you can camp at. “It's a nice park. The foresters there are a bit overzealous so you really have to watch their policies. If you want to like play fetch with a well behaved dog make sure you go before 9am because it's a no go even if no one's there after. Not the staffs fault their just following the rules but make sure you know there are no exceptions.”
