The northern section of the trail includes a picnic area nestled in the oak woodlands of Placerita Canyon, while the southern portion offers expansive views of surrounding mountains and the valley. Named after the Los Pinetos Spring located near the trail north of the summit. The trail connects Olive View Hospital in Sylmar to Walker Ranch in Placerita Canyon, with an elevation gain of about 1,500 feet to the summit.”

“Love this beautiful little gem. The garden is a wonderful little paradise in la county with trails under tall oaks, beside magnolia blossoms, inside a rose garden, lilacs in the Spring. We are members and locals now, but started coming to the BioTrek Ethnobotany Garden years ago when we lived 25 miles away in BioTrek Ethnobotany Garden. Definitely worth a visit.”
