“Wonderful staff who truly care about their students. They communicate well with parents' and take feedback seriously. My child only spoke a handful of words when he first started Challenge and his language developed rapidly after a few months. I attribute it to the caring and attentive teachers. Thank you Challenge for all that you do for our kids! Highly recommend it!”

“I spent three hours at Christensen Music last week using their excellent Steinway grand piano preparing for an audition; Ann Louise was friendly and accommodating, parking was no problem, and the space itself is well-lit and spacious. I can't speak for the recording side of things, but the vocal booth is pretty spacious and I look forward to using the studio for recording projects in the future.”

“My son has been going here for about a month now and he loves it! Kathryn is so nice and very communicative which has been helpful for me as this is our first experience with a daycare. Since starting here, my son has increased his play skills and social skills which is very exciting for us. He loves going every day and gets a big smile on his face when we arrive!”

“Well organized and clean. A very nice selection of lot of top name brand guitars and basses. Fender, Gibson, Gretsch and others. The acoustic room was crowded on the Saturday I went, so I didn't get to see much in there. Staff was friendly and there was ample parking despite some construction near their lot. Located on Bascom near Foxworthy.”

“Hawthorne is a friendly neighborhood school with an exceptional program for gifted students. Their GATE Seminar program was well worth choicing into. It provided separate classes composed of GATE students that were taught by highly experienced teachers familiar with the special needs of the gifted population. My child was academically and artistically challenged, but also received the social-emotional support that is necessary for gifted children to thrive. An active parent-led foundation forms an engaging and supportive community for families with gifted students.”

“My daughter loves the co-op and so do I. The school is the perfect place to foster creativity and curiosity in children. The teachers are nurturing/patient/engaging/kind/passionate...everything you would want your children's preschool teachers to be. I love that school days are spend almost 100% outdoors. My daughter is all about playing in the dirt/being in nature and BUGS. She thrive with all the outside time. Lastly, I love being part of the community. Being present and involved in her schooling has been such a rewarding experience. Obviously, I won't always be able to witness her growth at school, her daily interactions, her connections with her teachers and friends so I am really glad I took this opportunity to cherish this time in her life.”

“McKinley Elementary is filled with amazing educators providing rich and meaningful experiences for all learners. Some of the best teachers in PCS are located at 110 Ellis Street! Every time I have the chance to visit McKinley and check out the learning taking place, I am blown away by their commitment to excellence. Mr. Harris is the absolute best. The way in which he supports his students, staff, and families in a variety of ways is inspirational. I would send my child to McKinley without reservation!”

“Mi Escuelita is such a special and nurturing school. My son attended for over a year - during the time he was there he gained so much confidence in both Spanish and his separation from me. Ines is a wonderful nurturing Teacher and special person. We loved the nature based program and the fact that Ines really helps the children devolve compassion for one another and find a peacefulness in themselves. I think the small family style preschool was crucial to help my son gain the confidence to begin speaking Spanish. I can not say enough wonderful things about Mi Escuelita and Ines!”

“I grad in 1979-80. I went back 20 yrs later as a T/A for spec.ed. Ms. Lackey was still there. I worked with Ms. San Gabriel and Dr.George. When I left had Mr Demelio as principal (later bacame Super.)and Mr Veronda as vice, (whom I heard was working with incarcerated young boys) The school was accredited then and im sure it only got better. It definitely had its share of derelict students, parents and a couple shady teachers but for the most part , it had some outstanding faculty that will always be remembered. We had Langstons in the 50's Turturici's in the 60's & Langstons again in the 70's. Love you Bayside❤aloha”

“I have 3 kids that have gone there. I love the teacher's and staff and admire their dedication. There is no problem with the school. It's more the parents that have to make sure there kids are ready to learn when they walk into the classroom. The only thing I don't like is the way they shift problem students around different classrooms so that they become someone else's headache. They need to have a detention classroom for these kids so that they don't poison the Well when they go to other classrooms. Otherwise, keep up the great work, Marsh!”
