“This review is for the Shining Star nursery, which is owned by the same people as the Shining Star preschool. The nursery is on Clinton Ave., a block off San Pablo. (It's a half mile from Planet Fitness at McDonald and San Pablo.) I can't imagine a nursery better than Shining Star. The teachers there are kind and calm. It's *very* clean. (Adults don't wear shoes inside.) We visited some pretty dirty nurseries in the area and we're so glad that we found Shining Star. The hours are 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. They're closed on public holidays. The cost is: $1755/month for 5 days per week $1485/month for 4 days per week You pay monthly regardless of how many days you go. So it comes out to be between $8.60 and 9.15 per hour. If you're late picking your child up, the fee is $1 per minute, which is standard around here. If you need to drop your child off early or pick them up late, you can prearrange this with Preeya and pay a $10 fee. We highly recommend Shining Star!”

“I booked a constellation session with Hemla after hearing her on a podcast, and knew I had to work with her to help work through the blockages I was experiencing in trying to conceive my daughter. I had been through 4 rounds of IVF to conceive my son and suffered two blighted ovum miscarriages and was terrified of it happening again if I were to undergo fertility treatments again. In the session, we explored my Irish ancestry and healed the blight of the potato famine in my Irish past. 6 months later, I did one final round of IVF and got one perfect embryo that resulted in a pregnancy that was NOT blighted…my beautiful, perfect baby girl was born healthy and full term. I can not thank Hemla enough for the powerful work she observed for me that day. I am so grateful to her for the part she played in bringing my daughter home safely to me and completing our family. “My son Jordan Page has been part of SEC for 3 years now. We love that one on ones pay direct attention not on cell phones, in uniform, interact and truly care about the children! Staff is even better! Mrs. Brown truly listen, goes above and beyond. My son has gone to several non public but when a coworker told me about getting him to SEC I called SUSD and said I wanted a transfer immediately. This was the best decision ever! This site does it for our children and it’s not about money. They work with our kids and want our children to succeed. Our 2 week there we attended a promotion/graduation event I cried which I have never felt a connection at any of the other non public school. We could see how much love, support and dedication they had for each individual. I am so glad I finally found a school site that loves our special children. “My 3 year old twins have been at Sunshine Preschool since June of 2021. Our experience there has been amazing. My boys were home with me for a long time during the pandemic so when they started preschool it was not an easy transition. They were super attached to me and drop off was rough. Ms. Asha and Ms Jennifer have been patient and kind and loving since the very beginning. They would send me pictures throughout the day showing me how much fun they were having and that the crying was only at drop off. Now, my boys love their school and talk about their teachers and friends so lovingly. They have learned so much from the basics of ABCs and 123s to things like the solar system and sea animals. Ms Asha also puts on the most adorable and well-planned Halloween and Christmas performances for parents. She really goes all out. And most importantly her Covid safety procedures are exceptional. She does temperature checks at the door, sanitizes hands, sprays the bottom of the kids shoes with sanitizer before they enter. She works with the little ones to keep their masks on properly. Overall, it's been the best possible first experience at a preschool for our family.”
