“I hopped on here because I was shocked to see any negative reviews. My little guy has been attending Kids Town for over 3 years now since he was 5 months old. The staff is the most attentive, genuine, caring, and knowledgeable childcare professionals I could possibly imagine and we feel so lucky to have Kids Town be our child's second home. Working in education myself, and with my husband being a wildland firefighter, they have also been accommodating to our sometimes hectic schedule. It feels so nice to know my son is in good hands and somewhere he is truly happy and loved each and every day. I could not say enough good things about my experience and I have successfully referred many friends and coworkers to their services as well.”

“We absolutely love Serendipity School! My older son started there in Kindergarten a couple of years ago and every day I feel grateful to have found Serendipity. It is such a warm and welcoming school, and even more than that, it is a wonderful community to be a part of. Since it's a relatively small school, everyone gets to know each other, and I have felt nothing but support and kindness from everyone (teachers, staff, as well as other families). We are very impressed by how much he's learning and how much he enjoys the work he does in class. I love that he doesn't realize he's learning anything new at school, which to me means that he is enjoying the learning process. Both my son and I have made some great friends there, and I am excited for our younger son to start there next year!”

“I was there for 6 years and it was the best school but at 5 grade some of the students in my classroom bullied me but I don't know how are they my friends even though they bully me and then a year later at 6 grade it was good they stop bullying me and hang out with me and I haded the best years there even though I was shy all the time at second, third, fourth grade but at speech and mr. Hernandez's class they help me very much and then I was not shy anymore thank you for your support and thank you for helping me not get shy anymore thank you. 🤐😊😊😊”

Hamilton High School

“As a parent of two Hamilton High Schoolers, I can say that we love the Principals, Staff, Teachers that my sons have had, and their XC/T&F Coach. Hamilton is known for smaller numbers of the student body, so the teachers actually get to know the students. There are no gangs or lock downs, and it's a beautiful school. Hamilton, in Anza, has been a GREAT experience!”

Sunny Patch Preschool

Address: 7601 Sangiovese Dr, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762, USA

School

“As other reviewers have already indicated, Sunny Patch Preschool is fabulous! When my husband and I first started to search for a preschool for our son, we were worried that we weren't going to find a place that met both our expectations AND the personality of our son. Fortunately, our search led us to Sunny Patch. Ms. Jami's K-1 teaching background, combined with her Montessori training and her own creativity, result in a wonderfully balanced program where young students of all personalities and abilities thrive. She's caring, attentive, and fun. As a teacher myself, I really think Ms. Jami gets right to the heart of what preschool is all about. She does the things mentioned by others (themed lessons, progress reports, healthy snacks...), but she does more too! She provides a safe and nurturing environment that focuses heavily on play and socialization. Our son (age 4) is beginning to read, counts to 100, does simple addition and subtraction, and more. However, when we talk about Sunny Patch, he mostly shares the details of what he played with and with whom, what sort of stories he and his friends pretended or what new toy or game Ms. Jami brought out that day. For him, school is simply where he goes to have fun. The fact that he's learning along the way just comes naturally. Our son still has another year at Sunny Patch, and he's just as excited about it as we are! For those of you looking for a checklist, this is the one we used when searching for our "dream" Preschool. Sunny Patch met everything on our list! Safe, clean, and secure environment Small teacher to student ratio Warm and friendly staff Stand-alone preschool (not a combo with daycare) 2 to 3 day program Age-appropriate facilities (toys, seating, bathrooms, etc.) Large play area (especially outdoor) Print and language rich learning environment Wide assortment of manipulatives Visible evidence of play-based instruction and learning Differentiated lessons Open parent-teacher communication A place our son would feel at home”

“My daughter has been at ABC Montessori for the past two years. She has just left to start Kindergarten. The teachers at ABC are fantastic and my daughter has grown and developed so well over the time she spent there. She is more than ready for Kinder after her time at ABC. The school has a great curriculum and my daughter was learning how to write and read in a culture of predictability and team work. I would highly recommend ABC as a preschool.”

Teachers were very understanding, The location is convenient, and the life science curriculum includes walks through a nature path, the Physical Education program is uniquely engaging and,and A variety of projects are presented and assigned, Including use of first-class devices- with a great library with a variety of books, magazines, and computers... However, the school was sprayed by a carcinogenic product- Round Up (Monsanto's glyphosate) and the school newspaper lacks widespread event coverage. Overall, this school is a great one to learn..."”

College Park High School

Address: 201 Viking Dr, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523, USA

School

“College Park is the most underrated school in the area. Its broad selection of classes, strong visual and performing arts programs, competitive athletics, and accepting culture make it a place where all students can succeed. The challenges that CP faces seem to somewhat stem from lack of sufficient funds, which cause a definite drain on teacher and staff morale. There just doesn't seem to be quite enough adult support on this large of a campus. If teachers had a bit more manageable class sizes and financial resources, if the office was sufficiently staffed, if guidance counselors were hired, and if the college and career office had just a little more help, the school would be perfect. Yet still, I cannot overstate how well the school runs as most everyone there pulls together amidst district chaos at times. I have two kids who've recently graduated and are attending great four year universities. CP prepared them well - academically most well in math.”

Iowa Street School Home Edu Program

Address: 321 Iowa St, Fallbrook, CA 92028, USA

School

“My son has attended Iowa Street (now Fallbrook Home School Academy) for 5 years. The program here is one of a kind. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of Iowa Street, and I will be sad to have to move on next year. My son, now in 6th grade, feels the same way. Do to the teachings, mentoring, acceptance, and love Gunner (my son) has received from Iowa Street he is well prepared to move on. When I say the program is one of a kind; it is. I am very involved in my son's life. I feel I am responsible in helping him be the best person he can be. I do not feel it is all on a school's shoulders. At Iowa Street this feeling is shared among the staff. I am accepted with open arms to be involved on and off campus, to manipulate my son's studies as they fit his needs. I am not just a parent, but a parent teacher and a partner with Gunner's teachers. Together we provided what I feel is best for my son. School districts are bound by many obstacles, teachers are never paid for their worth, and children don't always get to explore and learn at the same time. At Iowa Street the children do though. This is where the extra time with family, friends, and extracurricular activity provided by the parent (parent teachers) is so valuable. Fallbrook does have a new Superintendent, Candace Singh, who supports and believes in Iowa Street. She has reached out to Iowa Street when, I believe, others were afraid too, because of Iowa Street's different approach to learning. Iowa Street's test scores and our childrens smiles are proof change is good. In the five years we have been a part of Iowa Street my son has had four different homeroom teachers. The last two years he has had approximately 12-16 kids in each class. Gunner is advanced in all subjects, and he has confidence in himself and his work. He is a product of his environment. Personally in our years at Iowa Street we haven't dealt with bullying. My son and his classmates feel fortunate that they don't deal with these pressures. They hear stories from friends at other schools, and are always thankful they go to Iowa Street. It's obvious I am a huge advocate for Iowa Street. I haven't always seen eye to eye with everyone I have come across at Iowa Street. However, I am a perpetual realist and believe this too is a part of learning and acceptance. Another lesson in life that I am thankful I have the chance to teach my son. Thank you, Iowa Street.”

“My son and I recently took the First Aid and CPR training course. I was very pleased with the experience and would highly recommend to anyone interested in this training. In the past, I have taken courses offered by the Fire Dept, the Hospital baby saver classes and even Boy Scouts, when my son and I were involved with them. This class and instruction was far better. My instructor was very professional and knowledgeable and encouraged any and all questions. I also appreciated the instructor availability and the genuine interest in working with our schedule. If you are looking for First Aid or CPR instruction, this is the way to go.”
