“The owner, John, is the perfect blend of easy going and hospitable, and runs a top-notch kitchen. He went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect, though that hardly seemed necessary with his incredible wait staff. Alan took care of us, and he was friendly and joked around with us, but never went too far so he could tell what we needed when we needed it. The food was phenomenal. The prime rib was suggested by a friend, and going for it I was not disappointed. Usually I like to eat a couple bites of each thing on my plate back and forth, but once I started on the meat my attention could not be swayed even to the baked potato piled high with goodies. This is a MUST STOP in Estes Park. A short drive from anywhere in town, and well worth it to get world-class service and food.”

“Who doesn't love fire engines? This is a fantastic display of fire engines, some going back 100 years. If you ever get to Estes Park, Co. this is a must. They display all kinds of fire trucks, some lovingly restored and others waiting for restoration. Also some classic autos and memorabilia in a separate area.”

“My wife rented this cabin for my 50th Birthday. I really enjoyed the roominess of the cabin, and having a stream running by the back patio with giant Bull Elk munching on grass a hands reach away(my wife fed it some bread) was just awesome. Not the newest or prettiest place, a little dated, but I plan on staying there again soon.”

“Yes. Parts of the property is in need of repairs .But if you were 144 year old and had as many people stay in you I think you would look a little rough in spots . It would be nice to see someone with some money to back the restoration of the property. Or even the main Lodge and some of the cabins. But the Elkhorn has been a special place for my family and I have some great memories of our time spent there. And yes it's haunted and Elenore is watching over her Elkhorn lodge. Don't upset her she can haunt you where you live.”

“This was our first stay at a B&B and it was amazing. Susie was a wonderful host and a wonderful cook! The house was in the perfect location. We rode our bikes into town, and were close enough to walk to pizza. The beds and pillows were SOOOO comfortable. I have started my campaign for a Sleep Number bed to have here at home! I've already told a few people about this amazing place. Can't wait to come back!”

“This place was amazing. Hot tub and lawn chairs right on the river to relax by after a long week of hiking. We saw a large black bear just one street behind the inn! The bed was so comfortable we wanted to take it home! We loved the decor and added touches like a helpful list of good restaurants...the ones we tried were excellent. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Absolutely gorgeous. It was lovely, quiet except for the water washing softly over the rocks, and the cabins were adorable. The cabin we stayed in was very well stocked and very clean. It was so cool to have a tub in our room. We definitely spent a lot of time on the patio just watching the river. They did however say it was a private cabin but it was in a duplex.”

“Went here 9/27/19. Arrived here at 7:15am (15 min before they open) and there was a long line. Stood in line until they opened. Definitely worth the wait. The line moves pretty fast. You will want to get there early. They close at 10am unless they sell out before. These are the BEST cinnamon rolls. The staff is super friendly. Definitely will be back!”

“This is our 6th time we have used Fall River Lodge for our Women's Retreat. It has good accommodations, a fantastic kitchen (actually 2...one downstairs) and a large dining room table. The great room is a wonderful place to meet with a fairly large group. The setting is hard to beat...as it looks down on fall river amid aspen trees. We always see cool wildlife there. The owners are very nice.”

“Recently spent 2 nights at this hotel and had a great experience. It looks a little run down from the outside,but inside the rooms have been completely re done and look great. The reserved parking spaces for each room insure you never have to park on the other side of the lot from your room. The only slight issue we had was the tv would flicker sometimes. To be fair the hotel might have been able to fix it,we never even brought it up because we were rarely in the room. Great location and the restaurant in walking distance is a nice bonus(awesome food!).”

“Quaint little deli with enormous delicious sandwiches. You have choices for bread, cheese and meats. There are chips available as well as potato salad, muffins and cookies. It is pricey but it is likely that 2 people can spilt one $12 sandwich. The staff was pleasant and the service was quick! There are some bar tables to sit and eat at inside.”

“A buddy and I came to RMNP to do a few days of hiking. We came into town for some gear and stopped here due to a local recommendation from the gear shop. Seemed sketch since it’s in a gas station but man, best burger we have both had in a long time. Super fresh and massive at a reasonable price. You’d be hard pressed to get a better burger anywhere else!”
