“I had firstly met Dr. Tessa at 24 Hr. on Southgate for a 10-minute examination and she recommended I give chiropractic a shot—so I did. The x-ray imaging had revealed that I have, albeit mild, scoliosis but most interestingly: a fully-developed 6th lumbar vertebra—quite the news it was! “Dr Edwards and staff are great! I came in seeking help after dealing with years of jaw related pain. Dr Edwards and staff are extremely kind, professional and genuine. I had tried generic mouthguards, custom night guards and more to try and relieve my pain, but nothing worked. After my initial exam, Dr Edwards sat me down to run through the results, and it was so validating seeing my x-ray for my jaw come back abnormal, having very high tension in my tmj muscles, and even a narrow airway due to my jaw. With this news and Dr Edwards explaining their solution, I knew I wanted to proceed forward. I came in soon after for them to deliver and fit my appliances (a day guard and a night guard). Withing a few weeks of wearing the day and night guard my pain had significantly reduced already, and within a few months I didn't have jaw pain at all, unless I didn't wear the appliances. I am so so grateful for Dr Edwards and staff for the help and pain relief I have received, and to say the appliances were life changing would not be an exaggeration! “A week after I moved to Denver, I was running after my dog in the backyard, tripped and twisted my foot, breaking a bone at the top of my foot. This situation was even more stressful than it would have been normally because I was also starting a new job in two days. I rushed to urgent care, they temporarily put me on crutches and told me I needed to find a podiatrist immediately for a more extensive diagnosis. Not knowing anyone at all in the area, I went online and selected Dr. Simmons because of his great reviews. I am tremendously happy with my choice on many accounts. First, Dr. Simmons has a wonderful, friendly, compassionate office staff that makes you feel welcome from the minute you enter the practice. Dr. Simmons himself takes the time to explain everything and answer all questions. Every visit, he spent time with myself and my husband to explain my prognosis in whatever detail made us comfortable. He had to operate on my foot in order to put a pin in the break area. He explained exactly what the healing process would look and feel like after the surgery and he was correct on both counts. For me personally, he took so much stress out of the situation because of both his medical acumen and his time and patience with us. My foot healed beautifully and I am thrilled that I'm back on my foot without any complications. I work in a hospital environment and I know that is rare to have any sincere personal consideration from a doctor these days - in most cases, you're simply a number in a line of daily patients and diagnosis code, so I have great appreciation for the way Dr. Simmons runs his practice and approaches his patients.
