Long trail. Must be in shape.
We went right after a rainstorm, and it was simply astounding. A bunch of things you would miss if you weren't paying attention.
Very nice area with a neat waterfall by the entrance
A very nice little hiking area, just a little bit away from Sandy Hook Center. It's a little hard to find because there aren't any signs mentioning it, but follow a map and you'll get there.
The park itself consists of what is essentially one long hiking trail that loops back on itself. The majority of the trail is fairly level and tame, although there are a few spots that cross streams or fallen trees and one area that is steep and rocky. The forest itself is very beautiful, and the trail takes you past an old damn and then up to the side of cliff where you can get a scenic view of the adjacent river.
