“I visit the War Memorial to use their gym. It is large, well equipped, and affordable. I considered not making a review to keep this place a secret. The surrounding park has ball fields, playgrounds, and walking paths. On weekends, there are usually food trucks serving the people who come for baseball games.”

“This skate park was dope. i loved the elbow and the little half pipe in the corner and the tall quarter gets you going. the only thing i don’t like is sometimes the office doesn’t pick up or the shed doesn’t pick up. What i LOVE about it is that there are vending machines for drinks and snacks. 10 dollar entrance fee tho. overall great park!”

Mathews Park

Address: 295 West Ave, Norwalk, CT 06850, USA

Park

“Kids love this place. There are water sections where kids can play around. There are sound sections, and a lot of science stuff which kids and also adults enjoy. It is definitely a place I would recommend. Don't spend too much time in one section, move on to the next and next section because there is a lot to explore. I would recommend that you do the water section last.”

Mill Pond Park

Address: Norwalk, CT 06855, USA

Park

“On sunny days in summer this park next to Route 123 is a good choice for picnics or to lose yourself in a book for an hour or two. On the pond’s banks are paths with benches under the cover of tall pines and hardwood trees. The pond is the scene for an annual fishing derby for kids in spring, and in winter becomes the best place to go ice skating in New Canaan when the lights come on. This activity is dependent on the weather of course, and signs on the banks will let you know when the ice is safe.”

“Went to the Holiday Stroll. Price for adults was reduced from last year by $5. First weekend was free for kids. I think $15 is still too much for children. Kids had fun. There were rides & food & hot chocolate. Covered area was for adults and had a nice vibe.”

Roger Sherman Baldwin Park

Address: 100 Arch St, Greenwich, CT 06830, USA

Park

“Nice park by the train station in Greenwich. The municipal parking lot has plenty of space, even during large events. Annual events using the space include the Greenwich Concurs D’ Elegance and the Dog Festival. There’s only one choice for food here, the Delamar hotel, which is pretty pricey. It’s several blocks walking to other food on Greenwich Ave.”

Park

The Mehlquist Garden

Address: 151 Brookdale Rd, Stamford, CT 06903, USA

Park

“Amazing specimen garden of mostly Rhododendrons within The Bartlett Arboretum. Due to the density and curving trails, it provides an immersive experience. Expect to find branches growing into trails, some at eye level, so keep your eyes open for when walking. There are also lots of rocks on the trails, so keep your eyes there too!”

Greenwich Point Beach

Address: 11 Tods Driftway, Old Greenwich, CT 06870, USA

Park

“One of the nicest beaches north of Virginia. So clean and well maintained. Water is so warm, calm, and shallow. Excellent for children. Doesn’t have a boardwalk, but the quality of the beach is better than anything in NJ. No comparison. Best feature of the beach is the shaded areas. They have two break areas, with a place to even borrow a book to read. It’s technically a public beach but it’s not so straightforward to gain entry. Need to pay for parking and per person. Check out the photos below, one should be a panorama.”

Simsbury Farms Recreation

Address: 100 Old Farms Rd, West Simsbury, CT 06092, USA

Park

“Great Park! Public golf course, 4 pools ranging in depth from 12" to diving pool. Snack bar at the pool and restaurant at the golf center. Winter fun too with a full ice rink! Fantastic public facility.”
