  This was our second time staying at Courtyard Villa. We did have some complications with our rooms due to an error with the reservation, but the staff/manager accommodated us as best as they could. I'll confirm sooner next time and make sure to get confirmation emails. However, the hotel itself is a gem. You simply cannot beat the price for the amazing location to the beach and Commercial Drive. The rooms are literally steps from the beach. The pool/hot tub in the courtyard is perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The local bars and restaurants in Lauderdale by the Sea are fantastic and very reasonably priced. We love it every time we visit. Also, the housekeeper Ms. V is awesome - so personable and makes you feel at home. While the hotel is dated, it's very clean and comfortable. I'll definitely be back, many times to come. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in LBTS.

  Miss V is well known for her hospitality. She gave us special treatment including access to toys for our toddler , extra towels, bug spray, and a history of the hotel, which was built in the late 1920's. Lauderdale by the Sea, as she explained is an old and tiny town which frowns upon big high rises. This hotel is a little gem with its own stretch of beach which you see as you enter the front entrance. The rates are very reasonable. No need to drive once you get there. You can walk to nice restaurants and entertainment a few blocks away. Also, there is a nice coral reef near the pier with some of the best snorkeling in the area.
