“This is one of those hidden gems. The park os located off Dunn Avenue, on Key Haven Road. It's on the same side as the Gate Gas Station but the street (Key Haven) right before it. Go through the neighborhood and take the street all the way until it ends and the entrance to the park is on the right. The park is very quiet. You can fish, kayak, watch the birds, see the creatures in the water, walk the trails, or take out your binoculars and view the scenery. There are also private enclosed picnic areas and vacation cabins. If you are planning to spend a few hours, bring your bug spray and sun tan lotion and sun hat. If you fish off the pier, their is not a covering from the sun. There is also a community center that you can rent for special occasions. It is equipped with a full kitchen, tables and chairs and restrooms. Parking is extremely tight, so keep that in mind if you are planning a special function. It's not a park for RV's or travel trailers, parking is just too tight and the turn around would be challenging! No pets are allowed except for service dogs. No swimming and no drinking and that's it for the most part.”

“I like that this neighborhood Winn Dixie is always fairly clean and well stocked. I usually only do quick runs here. Most times I can find the items, I am in search of. There is also a Winn Dixie Liquor store attached to this Winn Dixie. It has been a fre years since I have been inside the Winn Dixie Liquor store. How it was well stocked.”

“The Baptist Bible Church Family is in the process of erecting a new edifice, but on the lot directly behind the corner store, on the Firestone side sits an annex building in which they are holding Worship services temporarily. This Church is a very loving and Spiritual based Church. Some are out every Sunday morning greeting passersby with a heartfelt smile and a wave. Though small in size it is full of knowledge, wisdom and leadership. The Pastor, Rev. Richard Burton is very approachable and that's what the people love about him. “I visited Dr James E.Gaff Dentistry on 1/16/2018 for regular cleaning of my teeth. It’s like visiting family all team members were courteous and excellent in their work. While viewing X-ray of my teeth and gum condition Dr. Nixon found one of my tooth have infection in it’s root and.,suggested for root canal treatment and crown on it to save it. Since I was feeling sensation while touching my facial skin which I never informed prior to their finding , I immediately agreed for restoration plan . After root canal work and teeth cleaning within three days sensation on effected tooth gone and I was feeling awesome. As per plan crown was fixed today on 1/31/2018 and it look fantastic and I am happy my front side teeth has been saved due to excellent treatment and restoration work.”

I didn’t realize that Captain John was still in business since the restaurant closed. I’m so excited because I look forward to taking more friends on the airboat tour!
