I wish some of the parts of the main side of park were fixed already but that's minor considering the ocean 🌊 and the big play grounds for the kiddos and the boat ramps and great fishing spot. “Tampa really does have such a great network of dog parks. My dog and I enjoyed this park a lot. Picnic island is kind of off in a strange industrial part of south tampa. But once you are there it’s a well maintained park with picnic tables, benches, and a few hoses to wash your dog off. The area is fenced in down to the water, but as other have mentioned there is a hole in the fence at the end of the park that they patched up with plastic netting but any dog who is not afraid of water can easily wade right in and walk through it. That is my only complaint, otherwise great park and had a mix of Sandy beach and grass!”

“Great little park.. has excellent kayak launch & one-way rentals. They pick you up down-river and drive you back to your car... Tons of gators to add to your adventure floating effortlessly with the current to pickup point! Just $2 admission fee to this county park where you may also fish the river from a boardwalk.. Much better than paying $8 admission to Hillsborough River State Park where boardwalk bridges and pool have been shut down since Hurricane Irma, which was 8 years ago..😉”

“Beautiful setting. Clean walking trails and poop bags for dogs if responsible owners would use it. There are 2 covered picnic spots with trash receptacle but yet there are people who throw food on the ground or to lazy to walk it to the 🗑. But the pluses out weigh the bad.”

“We really enjoyed our evening at Lake Park. The day price was very inexpensive and very clean. We brought our sons new RC car to the RC track. The crowd there was great and even though his was only a toy and nothing like the ones the big boys were driving they still welcomed him and made the entire experience enjoyable. We also took a nature walk on one of the many easily accessible trails. The sights were beautiful. The picnic areas were very clean and well maintained. We’ll definitely be back.”
