They have very humorous items for sale, as well as nice soaps, crazy shirts and lovely porcelain type pieces. The prices are fair and the staff is very friendly. “Omg! What a fantastic time my children and I had on this tour in Mt Dora yesterday! Captain Gus was just wonderful! This tour is a must do when you're there. Amazing 2 hour tour on the lake, in through the mangroves, and just driving your own little cat boat. So much fun! Ask for Gus!”

They were very busy when we called (didn't have a reservation) but Candy went above and beyond in accommodating us with a nice table in a cozy corner in the bar area when we arrived. She was great with her assistance over the phone and just as warm and helpful when we arrived after a delayed Uber ride. Our waitress Sherri was wonderful as well, the menu has a delicious variety of items and a unique cheese plate as an appetizer which we really enjoyed. Definitely going back soon!”

“I’m a male in my mid 30s and decided it was time to get in better shape. I didn’t want to go a big box gym with impersonal service, so after reading the reviews I went in for a consultation with Sine. 8 months later I couldn’t be more pleased with results. I have trained with all the trainers, and they are all great. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you are training correctly and on the right path to achieving your goals. While my main goal was strength training, I am happy that I have lost 20 pounds of fat since I started, and packed on tons of muscle. The staff is friendly and warm, and you feel part of the Wallace family when you’re at the studio. Steve, who is my main trainer, is friendly, always has a great attitude, and will push you to achieve your best results. He always rotates my work outs, and I’m never doing the same things over and over. It’s always fresh, and it’s done wonders for my fitness level. I look forward to my training sessions every week, and I am religious about never missing a session, which is a testament to how great the atmosphere and training at Wallace is. They have plans for every type of goal, and will help you achieve what you are looking for. I would highly recommend it to those looking for that extra push to start getting in better shape. You won’t regret it.”

“Above and beyond! After a major snafu at another local Inn (not related to this one in ANY way!), we were stranded in Mt. Dora (with our dog) for what was supposed to be our perfect anniversary weekend after our annual Goldendoodle reunion. I called the 800 number to Mt. Dora Historic Inn at an ungodly hour of the morning. They went out of their way to make sure that we had a place to stay for our anniversary weekend to the point that they were calling friend's Inns to see if they had any room. Luckily for us, some northerners had to check out early and we had a home for the weekend! We were so thankful and so impressed with the kindness, compassion and level of service that we booked for next year already! Give them a call you won't be sorry!”

“Greatest open social club in the Mount Dora area. Lawn bowling accounts for perhaps two-thirds of club activities, but there are many spin-off activities—bunco, bridge, and even 10-pin outings. This club carries on a 90-year tradition that epitomizes our quaint little town. Organized bowling takes place morning and evening, 6 days a week. A joy-filled group of friends compete in non-aerobic fun. You have to give it a try by just walking through the gate and asking anyone to explain the game. Free introductory training is offered, so you don’t have to make a membership commitment until you know this is “your thing.””

“This was our first time attending the seafood festival. Since the event ran until 9 pm (rain or shine) we decided to wait until 6 pm to attend. We got there about 6:20 and 80% of the tents were closed or closing. There had been light rain but it was a rain or shine event. There was a comfortable size crowd in attendance. Why did all the tents close? Disappointing! Update: Went back the next day in the morning and it was great. Everything was open and the food was excellent with several good seafood choices. They have train, bus and golf cart shuttles. Many great vendors displaying clothing, art, and other merchandise. Best time was a short ride on the train for $5.”

“This place is awesome. Hands down one of the coolest restaurants in downtown Mount Dora. The staff is amazing and the food is spectacular. The ambiance inside is vibrant and full of color as well. The portions are enormous and very well put together. Amazing view too if you decide to sit by a window. Definitely recommend this place over any other Asian style cuisine in Lake County, maybe even Central Florida. Keep up the great work, guys! 5/5*”

“Jeana is an excellent massage therapist. She goes the extra mile to make the massage an overall experience through aromatherapy and great customer service. Jeana took extra time to get to know me and make sure I was comfortable with every part of the experience down to details like scents and music. She is also very talented in the science of massage. I say this because she helped soothe tense muscles and spent extra time in problem areas. This is not a generic massage where the client comes in, gets the same type of treatment as everyone else and gets rushed out after 45 minutes to make room for the next person. Instead, this was a gentle, client specific experience that I walked away from truly grateful. I highly recommend this competent, talented massage therapist to anyone.”
