“Old (early 1900s) city cemetery, nicely maintained and landscaped, with driving and walking paths. It offers a variety of funeral and burial services; see the City of Mount Dora's website for specific information, plots available, etc. Because of its peaceful parklike setting and its canopy of shade trees, the cemetery is also a good place for a quiet walk or meditation. It backs onto a city owned tract of woodland that has hiking trails if you'd like to extend your walk. It does close early in the evening (5 or 6pm depending on the day).”

“My husband and I had lunch at the Goblin today for the first time. The interior was welcoming and tasteful. There was piped music, but it was soft and unlike so many other places was not intrusive. A quiet conversation was possible, so refreshing! Our waiter was attentive and explained the specials. He was able to recite the ingredients and give an opinion. The bisque was excellent. We each had a special not on the menu. The jerk pork was tasty but not spicy, it would be fine for an older person. The shrimp salad sandwich had a really nice spread/sauce. We did not have to wait for the check either. We'll try something different next time, but not the bisque, that's a keeper!”

If you have a large group, this place can easily accommodate you. They have wonderful servers. Ah, and the food was delicious. Everyone at the table was oohing and aahing.”

“The most important thing about places I stay when I travel is cleanliness followed closely by the friendliness and sincerity of the staff. As old and creaky as the charming house is, it is very clean. All the nooks and crannies that would normally catch my eye and gross me out in an old home where several people come and go, were very nice and clean. The carpet was new in the room we stayed in. Shelby was very kind and accommodating. She told us everything we needed to know, and sincerely reassured us to call anytime if needed. it also felt safe around that area. We stayed one night in the Sheila room which was right atop of the house stairs. It was cozy with a TV and bathroom. I love that the bathroom sink is in the room rather than in with the toilet and shower. The bed is high up, but has little steps if you can’t hop up. Some furniture in the room was unique- repurposed and probably antique- sewing machine and radio. The upstairs screened in porch is a lovely entrance for guests staying here. Wish we could’ve stayed for breakfast because of the rave reviews and how great it smelled while we were leaving. I’d stay here again for sure and next time stay longer!”

“Great food and even better service! Olive Branch is great for either lunch or dinner. This time around I stopped in for lunch and was very satisfied. They have great lunch specials and the staff here is awesome. Highly recommend their French Onion soup, I get it every time. The gyro lunch entree is huge too. You will not be disappointed at all. Bartender was amazing as well! Definitely recommend for someone looking for Mediterranean or Italian cuisine!”

“I reviewed this place a year ago and I am just as pleased with this visit. I had the Eggs Benedict with English bacon instead of the ham, excellent! Still great service and a great atmosphere. It's a cross between English pub and American diner, but cooler. I just love this place and I don't love many restaurants. It's a little pricey, but you get value for the bucks you spend.”
