My first son which stayed at home with his grandma for the first 4 years….. imagine how nerve wrecking it was for me for him to start vpk. I must say I was so happy I picked this school, it gave me the comfort of letting go and letting him evolve to the world without me side by side and be able to be worry free. The world is a scary place and to have to drop off your son in a place filled with strangers for the first time is not easy at all. They caught my attention when they advised me of their camera services for us parents and the vpk teacher Ms. Acevedo was a definite YES for me - I literally felt like I couldn’t have been blessed much more. Till Alexandra was hired as a front desk and that was the cherry on top of the cake. She is really dedicated, devoted, passionate, understanding, humble, informative, communicative, and caring! She gives you the peace of mind and has the best energy at all times! My son is very happy with his first year at OLR. I feel like communication with upper management should be a bit more corrected but I really can’t complain and appreciate all you do on a daily for my son 🤍🙏🏻
My boys love this school I was worried about them starting a new school and not fitting in but all the staff principle and their teachers Ms Donavan and Ms Acuna made the transition not only easy but stress free. They have made so many friends and are reading and doing math better then I could have ever imagined. The fields that they struggled with their teachers put their hearts into their class and made them excited to go to school every day!! If your looking for the perfect bully free school this is the right school for you where education comes first and safety for hand and hand.
As a past employee, I can say that it has been my pleasure to work here for 4 years. The atmosphere of the campus is beautiful and spacious. Between the class sizes and the way the programs are structured there is definitely much more involvement between the students and teacher than you would find in a public school. The teachers are some of the most passionate and patient people I have ever met, and will truly do everything to give your child the education they deserve. In Aftercare, there is always plenty for the children to do whether it be play sports, cheerleading, homework, or just chat with their friends. The basketball team is also a great point of interest, as I have really seen students develop true leadership skills when they joined the team. They practice more diligently than any organized middle school team I was ever a part of and easily perform better. Everything about this school really provides the small community feel that I think many parents look for when searching for the right school.
Update: My son has been at this school since January 2018. He is now in VPK with Ms Acevedo, who is wonderful by the way. He has learned so much. They are making sure to follow the guidelines to ensure the kids are safe. Everyone is very attentive and professional. We are very happy with this school. Classes are small, classrooms are always clean, they have cameras and meals are included. Love OLRS!
My daughter (now 12) and my son (now 7) spent all of their formative years in this school. They were happy there, and my son even attends the summer camp each year. Since the change in ownership there have been significant improvements to the facilities, and the overall environment. Their security has improved dramatically, and my child loves being there. I would recommend this school again to all my friends.
