You guys got me a little bit worried, but I gave the guy a chance. He was wonderful with my son, really nice, down to earth, & likes to joke around.

Well you all have me worried. I called him to confirm my appt. For tues. And he was very nice. Ill keep this updated. However he was not rude at all like others have stated. Im sorry you all had bad experiences, this is all difficult enough. I have often wondered if doctors get kick backs but that would mean they do not uphold their oath. So...we will see........
I am not going to post the outcome and i hope others will not be worried as i was ...from the other reviews..im sorry others had a bad experience however this doctor was so nice. Very professional. He was polite over the phone. And was sensitive to difficult questions he had to ask me. I like him. No matter the outcome.

I just wanted to give my unbiased review because the other review for Dr. Kanakis was very untrue in my personal opinion and it scared the bejebus out of me having l to see him reguarding ssi. Now, I know his report was submitted and I did not receive an answer reguarding it so this is what I thought not based off of reports or approvals. This man had to take time out of his busy schedule to see me for the 15 min mandatory state questions determined by ssi. Within that 15 mins I had to speak about things that were uncomfortable to me to a stranger. I read the other review and honestly my panic was setting in horribly. He was extremely kind and thourough in explaining exactly what his job was and although I knew it was appreciated. I cannot drive so he offered me the phone if I needed it and he was companionate enough to make the whole thing easier to handle under the circumstances. I truly just want to thank him for his kindness and taking the time out of his life to have to write a report on a stranger. No matter if I get approved or not, kindness always surpasses anything in life.

Just an update. I was denied for benefits. I didn't care about the money. I just needed the medical because I cannot afford it. I don't think I will ever get the help I need to actually get back to my life and to finding out if I do have cancer or not and all of the medical issues that have brought me here. I worked my entire life to get stepped on by the government when I truly needed help. Again, through all of this, dr kanakis was my only glimmer of hope and the only dr in Florida that showed any type of kindness. I thank you. I'm not going to appeal because I truthfully don't think I will make it the year to get a court date. It's just a very sad day and I've been completely defeated.
